Sweet Sixteen - Part 5 and 6

Hey guys! So, ummm... I have a one week holiday from school, so hopefully I'll have more time to write and thank you so much for the encouragement. I love you all a lot and I'm really grateful. I can't express in words how your comments affect me. Anyhow, here's part 5 and 6 and also help me choose what story to write next! Thanks!!
Part 5

January 17, 2011

I managed to avoid running into Chris for 6 days now. I know I can't do that forever, but I don't... and I mean, I really don't want to run into him again.

Thank God today was Sunday. So, no school. Lynn came over for a sleep over, and all I wanted to do was eat ice cream and watch a movie. I was in the mood to eat junk food.

Lynn had got two horror movies to watch tonight. She put one of them in the DVD player and brought the big bag of chips and ice cream she bought earlier before coming over.

Mum was over at her friend's house tonight working on some kind of project. She said she might stay there and dad was away on a business trip so no one was here to scold me.

I sat on the coach next to Lynn and held my blanket and pillow tightly in case I needed them and so did Lynn.

Halfway through the movie I was biting on my nails and hiding under the blanket. Lynn kept screaming whenever someone would scream in the movie.

"Why don't you just turn it off Lynn? I don't like the movie. It's boring," I tried to act as calm as ever. I could feel her shaking her head beside me.

"Are you scared?" She asked.

"No... I mean yes," I conceded. "So are you going to turn it off?"

The door bell had to ring just then. Lynn jumped 3 cm (I'm exaggerating a little). I cursed myself for flinching. Oh God! I should have listened to mum and not watched this kind of movie. I even had illusions of someone standing behind me, and I could feel it although deep down I knew no one else other than me and Lynn was here.

I swallowed hard before walking to the door. I opened it and stood there with my best-managed smile. Chris shook his head.

"I thought I'd drop by and see why you were avoiding me, but then I heard screams and thought you might be dying..." He said, sarcastically.

He looked tired and possibly angry. "Hey, Lynn," he said. I turned to see her standing behind me. She smiled at Chris.

"I... I wasn't avoiding you. Anyway, wanna come in?" I asked.

"Why? Are you planning something?" He smirked.

"Not really. I just thought that you coming over meant you had nothing better to do. So how about playing a game of truth or dare?" I said.

I looked at him challengingly. He smiled. "Why do I have a bad feeling about this?" Lynn whispered from behind me.

So now we were sitting in the living room with a soda can in my hand. I placed it on the floor between us and spun it.

It stopped on Chris and me. He had to ask me, and I chose truth.

"Have you ever dated before?" He asked with an evil smile forming across his really hot face.

Lynn just stared. I shook my head. "I'm still waiting for the right guy."

He laughed. "Are you a 12-year-old or what?"

I glared, and spun the can again. It stopped on me and Chris again. "This isn't working. Let's do it in turns," I said.

"Nu-uh... let's play this turn first. So what would it be?" This guy is up to no good.

"Dare," I challenged.

"Kiss me."

My jaw dropped open and I could feel Lynn tense beside me. "You can't tell me to do that!!" I protested.

"Why not? It's a dare. If you do it, then I'll consider you the winner and listen to whatever you say for a week."

"I knew I had a bad feeling about this, but it didn't turn out that bad," Lynn mumbled. I swallowed hard. And I knew this guy was up to no good.

I leaned close to him and lightly kissed him on the lips, before I could move back he caught my wrist and pulled me on to his lap. "That doesn't count," he said.

Lynn got up and sighed. "You know what? I'll leave you at it Sandra. Don't lose... I'll be in the kitchen. I'm really hungry at the moment."

"Wait!!" I tried to get up but Chris had his hands wrapped tightly around my waist.

"Give up already?"

My eyes widened. "What if I want to lose? Let me go!! I'm not playing this stupid game anymore."

"Oh man, I heard you loved this game and never lost in it. Was it a false rumor?"

Yes, I always played it in parties and surprisingly never lost. "I don't care. This doesn't really count," I said.

"Then you'll listen to me for one whole week instead..." He got up making me fall to the ground and the next thing I knew... he was already out the door...

Part 6

January 18, 2011

I woke up early in the morning and walked downstairs. I decided to eat anything I find in the fridge today. A sticky note caught my attention.

'Sorry dear, your father and I had to leave to London for a new project. I'm really sorry. I made you some pancakes though' - Love, mum.

I turned to see a plate with pancakes on. Honey was dripping from it, and it had berries on top. I suddenly felt the smell fill my nose and felt more awake. Yes! I jumped up and down and started singing randomly.

I had the house all to myself and after tomorrow our one week holiday starts!

I ate the pancakes and ran back upstairs to get ready. I grabbed my bag and my phone before running out.

I sent messages to Lynn, Laura and Jen telling them the good news.

Laura is my fashionable friend who helps me choose clothes when we go shopping and Jen is my popular friend who barely hangs with us anymore. We're childhood friends so we still hang out at times.

"You look too happy today," I jumped and turned, almost smacking Chris in the face. He caught my hand just before it hit him. "Sandra, you can't hit your master."

"What..."

He put a finger to my lips to silence me. "Don't tell me you forgot out game of truth or dare yesterday? Or are you playing dumb?" He smirked.

I pushed him away. Damn! He just ruined my mood. "I didn't forget!! You don't have to worry!"

"Good. I'm taking you to the party tomorrow with me then," he said.

The party... the one that Samantha was holding at her house. I wasn't even invited, so why would I go? I snorted and walked away.

Chris caught my arm. "No running away. If you do, I'll kiss you in front of the whole school. So, I'll pick you up tomorrow." He said and left me their, my mouth hanging open.

Is he for real?

Right after school Jen got her boyfriend (Who's apparently in his second year of college and also is pretty handsome) to drive us to the mall. I was actually dragged there after complaining about Chris taking me to Samantha's party.

"He's taking you out as his date! You should look your best. So we have to go shopping," Jen, who's good when it comes to guys, said.

"We should get you a red dress! Red and black look good on you," Laura said.

Lynn giggled. "I knew he liked you."

"Hello!! He's using me because I lost in a stupid game!" I exclaimed.

"Are you stupid or what? If he wanted to use you he wouldn't take you to a party with him as his date. He would most likely torture you in other ways," Jen rolled her eyes at me and dragged me to various shops.

Finally, after trying on 20 something dresses, Laura told me to buy the black one with a red rose at its side.

"Although it's not red, when you wear it you look like a model in it," she said.

I looked in the mirror. She was right. It reached above my knees and it was strapless which I didn't like, but wasn't that bad either.

It was tight from the top to my waist with a red rose attached and then going down it was puffed up. I got black heels to go with it.

On the way back home I started wondering why I was actually excited about tomorrow...

Maybe because I'd see Samantha's shocked face when she finds out I came with Chris. Or is it because I actually like wearing the dress? It can't be because of Chris... right?

Hey guys! I don't know why it's taking so long to post. Before it would post faster. So, Umm... I'll be finishing this story before writing the second chapter of my other story, 'Air'.
