Susan Boyle Hospitalized with Exhaustion
After losing to dance act Diversity in the finale of Britain's Got Talent, Susan Boyle is now in a private hospital in England, where she is believed to be suffering from exhaustion.
For nearly two months, the world has been captivated by Susan Boyle. And it may have been her worldwide fame and constant media coverage that cost her the title in Britain's Got Talent. Boyle was ultimately outdone by a street dancing group called Diversity - and they took home the grand prize. But Boyle will likely have the more successful entertainment career and she is now in a position to realize all of her dreams.
Perhaps it was the constant media scrutiny and gossip-slinging that is a trademark of the British tabloid press - or perhaps it was the pressure of performing live in one of the most-watched TV events in recent memory in Europe - but something finally snapped inside Susan Boyle. Understandably, the singer succumbed to the constant pressure of being in the spotlight and she admitted herself to a private hospital in England to be treated for exhaustion.
In an interview on NBC's Today Show, Piers Morgan told Meredith Viera that he had spoken with Boyle and that she was still quite emotional about everything, but that she was quite coherent and seemed entirely stable. Both Morgan and Simon Cowell, the creator of Britain's Got Talent and American Idol, believe that Boyle will return to show business in short order and that she will likely land record deals and performance contract in America and around the world.
