Sure Ways to Get Your Ex to Contact You

You might be wondering how to get your ex to contact you because they're ignoring you or just plain hates you right now, don't worry tensions are usually high directly after a break up and it's understandable if your ex doesn't want to contact you right now, but all is not lost, here's some tips to get your ex to contact you again.

#1 Give your ex a reason a call.
What is the sole purpose of getting your ex to contact you? If your answer is to persuade your ex to get back together with you, then you might want to rethink your purpose. If your ex is not ready to get back into the relationship, they will avoid you rather than talk to you just to not dodge your efforts. It's best to come up with an incentive for them to contact you first.

#2 Being too eager
If you're not allowing enough time for your ex to cool from the break up, you might be contacting them too soon. Sometimes it could take months before your ex is comfortable enough to contact you again.

You should keep in mind that people rarely just change overnight. The internal changes we make are usually gradual, so patience is your friend.

#3 Arousing their curiosity.
If you make your ex curious enough that they'll 'want' to call you, this is the best to get them thinking its their own idea to re-initiate contact. Leave a note to say you have something exciting to tell them. Be upbeat and enthusiastic. Everyone wants to know a secret so your ex will want to call just to satisfy their own curiosity. Never lie of course, if you have exciting news, make sure you DO have news or your ex won't be able to trust you next time. If you have to be proactive and make something happen just to share with your ex, then by all means do so.

#4 Accomplish something your ex will be proud of.
We all have dreams and goals which we share with our partners, but wouldn't it be great if we accomplished some of these things? If it's something your ex knows you'd be excited about, you could trick them into thinking things are fine and it'd be easier for them to contact you. Be happy but remember to refer to #2, if you do this too early after the break up, it will seem more suspicious to your ex.

#5 What is your ex passionate about?
A great way to make your ex drop their defenses is to ask for help on a matter they know a lot about. The more passionate they are about whatever it is you need help with, the more they'll likely want to talk to you about it. This will work best if you are genuine, so asking for help about buying motorcycles when your ex knows you hate motorcycles might trigger some suspicion (although that might not be a bad thing entirely).

Understandably its easier said than done to do some of these, but the truth is a lot of them isn't necessarily if you want your ex to contact you.
