An important facet of the supervisor job description is that he/she has to be vigilant enough to understand the needs of employees in the office and must make arrangements to ensure that the employees can work with comfort and ease. Necessary items of work, like stationery, proper desk etc. and others must be timely available to the employees, and all these works are arranged by supervisors. The supervisor is expected to establish a good communication network with the employees. In case, some new positions are required in the firm, supervisors can inform the management members about such needs. The supervisors are also involved in the selection of the employees as they help the management in the process of job application, resume reviews and conducting the job interviews.

Training the Employee
The supervisors in collaboration with the human resource department helps the new employees in training them about the working habits and the office culture. The supervisor also acts as a counselor in guiding the employees about the future growth of the employee and about improving their skills. The supervisor also looks out for the employee performance and ensures that the employees have no problem in executing their responsibilities and achieving their allotted targets.

The salaries vary according to the industry and the working location.
