Super Smash Flash 2

Super Smash Flash 2 popularly known as SSF2, is an upcoming Macromedia Flash multi-player game developed by McLeod Gaming. It is a sequel to the popular Super Smash Flash, and is loosely based on the plot of Super Smash Bros Series. Though various demo versions of the game have been launched after regular intervals, it has still been able to gather a lot of praise and positive criticism from people.

The game plot of Super Smash Flash 2 is pretty similar to the original Super Smash Bros game series. The SSF2 is very different from the other 2D games in the market, in this game each character's health is determined by the number of attacks it has sustained. The controls also are very different from its predecessor. Player works with A, S, D and W key while the arrow controls are handled by the second player. These control keys help your characters complete missions and move forward. Player-1 will still use the keys for powerful moves such as O and P, while Player-2 will control the numeric pads for attacks and defense. This online PC game also has the option to customize controls in the menu.

The characters in the second version of this game are fighters representing the universe which they belong to. Each character has some special qualities like number of special attacks, standard attacks and the finishing move called "Final Smash". There are two types of characters in this sequel: Starter Characters and Unlockable Characters The latter are only accessible after you complete some tasks which unlock them. Matches can be played in Coin Mode, Time mode, Stock mode or a combination of the Time and Stop mode. In Time mode a player wins a point when it defeats the opponent by a KO (Knock-Out) and loses a point if it gets defeated. In the Stock mode, each player is alloted a number of lives and they lose a life every time they are defeated. In Coin mode, every attack on the enemy spawns out more coins, a strong attack will gain a bigger coin value.

The first Super Smash Flash was a critical and commercial success all around the world and after experiencing a popular demand for the sequel, Nintendo started working on the SSF2. The game is now released to the public in demo format which gives them a sneak peek of the recent progress done on its platform. No release date for SSF2 has been announced as of now, critics say that the developers are working on a Wii compatibility platform for the game, which could count as a major reason for its delay.
