Dips
The advantage of Dips is that they can be prepared in thousands of ways and can consumed hot or cold. They are condiments that are used to savor finger foods like dumplings, bread, crackers, raw vegetables, seafood, cheese, potato chips, etc. Unlike other sausages that are poured at the top of the food, here the food is dipped into the mixture.
Salsa
Not to be confused with a style of dancing, Salsa which means ‘sauce’ in Spanish and Italian, is a Mexican food that ranges from mild, sweet to spicy taste. It can be used as a dip almost for any food (especially chips). Traditionally, potatoes were used as a base but, their growing popularity over time led chefs to experiment and use variety of foods such as pineapple, corn and mango. Pretzels
Pretzels are wheat-based doughs that are shaped into a knot, dipped in baking soda solution, sprinkled with salt, and later baked. Most of the packaged pretzels are hard and vary in thickness. They actually originated in Germany and France, but have slowly gained a foothold as a Super Bowl snack in the US.
Pizza
Nothing can beat the Super Bowl Pizzas that is served during the Super Bowl football game. There is no doubt that pizza is a number one Super Bowl food. There are varied flavors of pizza with different toppings. They are served in slices. Some ingredients that you require for a good pizza are:
- Ground beef
- Fresh, ground spicy pork sausage
- American cheese
- Hot pepper sauce
- Packaged cocktail rye bread
The food that looks to have been made especially to be eaten while watching a sport is a Hamburger. They are barbecued, fries, grilled or broiled ground beef, that are put inside a sandwich. With their increasing popularity even turkey, ground lamb and chicken have replaced the ground beef. They are topped with bacon, lettuce, mayonnaise, pickles, onions, avocados, mustard and more.
Hot Dogs
Composed of beef or pork, hot dogs are link sausages, that are created by a variety of meat combination. Turkey and tofu are also a preferred combination. Hot dogs became famous from Frankfurt, Germany, where the concept of eating a sausage within a bun originated.
Not only these, but other foods like Hors D’oeuvre, chicken wings, chili, nachos, etc. are also famous Super Bowl snack foods preferred by people. Whatever snack you desire to have, one thing remains common that is taken with all these foods. Guess what? Yes, it’s none other than beer. The culture of having a beer during the game is common and popular beverage in the US.
