Sunshine - Chapter One (Part Two)

Soleil's dreams start getting weirder and weirder... And they're all with the same guy, Constantine. I'm so sorry everyone, I have been really busy lately. I'm back now, so read er up! Part three soon...
"What'll it be?"
"Just a coffee. Small please."
Amelie turned from the kitchen
"Talk to him! I'll cover for you."
Soleil sighed and threw her apron at Amelie while walking over to a table. Jesse sat first. "So you moved here, from where exactly?"

"Oklahoma."
"So your country?" Soleil shrugged. "You could say that."
"Why'd you move? If you don't mind me asking."

"It's alright. I moved because my dad passed away and my mom couldn't handle living in the same place where she grew up, fell in love and lost her husband in."

Jesse had a pained look in those shining flecks in his blue eyes, "I'm really sorry, Soleil. It must've been really rough for you. I mean, if I lost my dad... I'd probably die. You're really strong, Soleil." Soleil looked down at the table and started fidgeting with her fingertips." Haha, thanks! I don't wanna die but, well I want him back." Jesse smiled comfortingly, "I bet you do."

Soleil realized what was going on here and started to blush.
"I have to go but, um, thanks!" Soleil stood up and walked over to Amelie behind the counter. "Maybe." She mouthed.

Amelie bounded up and down squealing with excitement.

When Soleil got home, she dove into her bed. She laid on her belly with her feet hung over the edge of her double size bed. Could Jesse really like her? Did she even have a chance? She decided to put these thoughts aside for now. She was exhausted. She was so tired from the day's work at Joes, she fell asleep.

In her dream, Soleil was in her room, sleeping. She woke up and was startled by a dark shadowed figure in her doorway. It reassembled the physical shape of a young man.

"Um, hello? Can I help you?"

There was no answer? Just the strangers hazel eyes glistening in the moonlight. They were enchanting. Soleil found herself mesmerized by his eyes. He took one step forward and was in full view of the light coming from the window.

"Woah." He was about two inches taller than she was, with gorgeous eyes that flickered little flecks of brown. The stranger came closer. Within seconds his mouth was on her neck.

"Uhmm...??" Soleil was terribly confused. Then he spoke the only words he'd spoken all night, "Sunshine, you are the purifying heat that separates us both, we are black and white and still I am yet your warrior. I shall do whatever is your wish."

Soleil still confused, stares at him blankly.

"You expect me to believe that? Let's start with normal formality. Hello, what's your name and what the hell are you doing in my room?"
He looked directly at Soleil and then bowed gallantly.

"I am Constantine. I am your warrior, protector, guardian... call it whatever you wish, but I am here to keep you safe. As I promised, Sir Elaison Ray Summers, when he gave his life for my own, I swore to look after you for him. Until the day you die."

"Wait. You knew my dad? What's an Elaison? And don't you mean the day you die?"
His face remained emotionless.

"You ask a lot of questions. Your father is the vampire Elaison, you are the princess. An Elaison is a descendant of the gods or goddesses of the sun-
"Which is ironic, seeing as you're a vampire. So you should hate the sun."

"I'd appreciate it if you didn't cut me off when I'm answering your many blunders of questions and yes, you're right. But the Elaison created the night as well. So they're our gods and goddesses as well as they are yours. Well, except the fact that you are the only heir to your father's throne."

Soleil looked at him to see any signs of a joke. Maybe he's getting paid for this? No, he wouldn't know about my father's name for me. No one did know, except me and him. We didn't even tell mom.

"Well then, Constantine, if you're supposed to do whatever I say, please leave me to sleep." He bowed courteously.

"As you wish, sunshine." With that he was gone and I drifted off to sleep.
