Summer Party Punch Recipes
Different types of punches go very well with any summer party. They offer cooling and refreshing effects. Here are some delightful summer party punch recipes, with which you can enjoy the summer party in a unique way.
Spiced Red Zinger Rum Punch
Ingredients
5 ½ cup water
1 cinnamon stick
a 2-inch piece fresh ginger
½ cup sugar
10 Celestial Seasonings Red Zinger tea bags
4 whole cloves
1 navel orange, sliced
¾ cup amber rum, or to taste
Preparation
Peel ginger and cut it crosswise into thin slices. Boil together water, sugar, ginger, cloves and cinnamon stick in a medium saucepan. Stir continuously, until sugar is dissolved. Then add tea bags and remove the pan from the heat. Keep the tea bags into the mixture, until cool. Then discard cinnamon stick and tea bags. Transfer the tea to a pitcher. Chill the tea in a covered condition at least for 12 hours and up to one day. Remove cloves and ginger from the tea and discard. Then add orange slices and rum to the tea. Serve this punch over ice in the stemmed glasses.
Cranberry Vodka Punch
Ingredients
2 cup vodka
2 cup chilled orange juice
4 cup chilled cranberry juice cocktail
2 tbsp sugar
¼ tsp ground allspice
½ tsp ground cinnamon
2 tbsp Grand Marnier or other liqueur
1/8 tsp ground nutmeg
2 oranges, thinly sliced
Ice cubes
Preparation
Mix well all the ingredients except orange slices and ice cubes in large glass pitcher. Stir it until well-blended. Refrigerate the mixture for about 2 hours in order to allow the flavors to blend. Fill the glasses with ice cubes. Pour the chilled punch over the cubes. Garnish each glass with thin orange slices and serve.
Tree-trimming Cider Punch
Ingredients
1 gallon apple cider
2 large apples, peeled, left whole
12 whole cloves
Ground nutmeg
2 cinnamon sticks
Preparation
Pour apple cider into a large pot. Insert 12 cloves into both the apples, 6 cloves in each. Then add cinnamon sticks and apples to the pot. Bring it to boil. Then reduce the heat, cover the pot and simmer over a very low heat for about 1 hour so that the flavors blend well. You can prepare it one day ahead, cover and refrigerate. You may rewarm it before continuing. Pour hot cider punch into mugs. Sprinkle it with nutmeg before serving.
Orange Cream Milk Punch
Ingredients
1 quart vanilla ice cream
1 quart cold milk
1 can of lemon-lime flavored carbonated beverage
2 pints orange juice
Preparation
Place the ice cream and orange juice in a punch bowl. Pour milk and lemon-lime soda into the bowl. Stir gently and serve immediately.
