Students look forward to summer vacations as summer vacation means freedom from homework, long math lectures, getting up early, etc. Everybody have plans for the summer vacations, some plan to travel while others decide to laze around. However, there are also teenagers who wish to do something different, they have other plans in mind.

Many teens wish to buy new appliances or games which they cannot afford with their limited pocket money; summer jobs are the best option for them. Summer vacations are the best vacations for doing jobs as the weather is quite favorable, unlike winter vacations. There are many good summer jobs for 13 year olds, however, you need to take a few points in consideration before beginning the job search.

Landscaping: As the name suggests, your job profile will be that of a landscaper. The work is quite easy, it includes watering plants, pruning them and mowing lawns. You will get a landscaping job near your home itself, just let your neighbors know that you are searching for such a job. Even if you spend three-four hours daily, you will be able to landscape at least three gardens, so by the end of the month you will have earned quite a lot! Tutoring: This is one of the best jobs for teens. You can offer your neighbors to teach their kiddies for only $25 an hour. Nowadays most of the parents do not have time to teach their kids; there are also parents who complain that their kids do not like to be taught by them. This is of course of your advantage! Choose seven to eight year old kids, as they easily get along with teenagers and their syllabus is also quite easy. You can also train kids who are preparing for their kindergarten admissions. This can be quite challenging!

Lemonade Stands: This is one of the seasonal jobs for teenagers. People who go for trekking, picnics or even walks on the beach during the daytime, search for something cool and soothing. Keeping this need in mind, why not open a lemonade stand? All you need is a table, disposable glasses, ready-made or homemade lemonade syrup, water and ice. Take the help of an elder to set the table. Once the table is set, you can start your own business! Choosing a proper spot for the lemonade stand is also very important. Set your stand at such a place where lots of people pass by everyday, like a corner at the beach. Not only your lemonade will sell fast, you will also get thoroughly entertained looking at the crowd!

Animal Caretaker: Pet owners are always in search of reliable people who can care for their pets, so you are sure to earn profit in this summer job for 13 year olds. The work generally includes bathing pets, taking them for a walk and feeding them. If some of your other friends are also interested in this job, you can even start a pet care center!

Summer camp jobs for 13 year olds are a bit rare, however, you can try your luck for posts like activity instructors, etc. Also do spend your hard-earned money carefully!
