Love story
(Wednesday)
Daniel woke up the earliest of all nine of them. He went to the swing and took his cell phone out of his pocket.
Hey sleepy-head! Wake up. How was your sleep?, he sent a message to Emma’s cell phone.
Emma woke up at the sound of her cell phone. She read the message and replied:
Where are you? I’m going to see you? , and sent it.
Daniel: I’m at the swing.
Emma: Okay, wait for me there.
Daniel: Okay.
Emma quickly went out of bed and change clothes. She went down and headed to the swing where Daniel was sitting. She went at the back of Daniel and kissed him in his cheeks. Daniel turned to face her while Emma went to sat across him.
Meanwhile, after having a conversation, Emma and Daniel went inside the house and headed to their rooms. Emma went to her room where she, Vanessa and Nicole slept while Daniel went to the boy’s room. Emma opened the door and saw Vanessa and Nicole arranging their bed and their tables. They noticed Emma in the door smiling.
"Where did you go last night", Vanessa asked as she tossed her blanket in the air holding the last two point in each edge by her hands.
"I told Daniel what I felt about him", Emma said.
"Then what happen", Vanessa asked.
"Are you together", Nicole asked.
"Yes", Emma said happily recalling the night when it happened.
Again, Vanessa and Nicole were shouting.
"Ah!"
In the boy’s room, Daniel was telling Rico and Matt what happened. When he finished, that’s when Vanessa and Nicole shouted more loudly.
"They did it again", Rico said. The three laughed.
"Well, what did you told him", Vanessa asked.
"I told him that I think I’m falling in love with him", Emma said.
"I wished I’m brave like you Emma", Nicole said sadly.
"Why? What’s wrong", Emma asked.
"I’m feeling the same way to Matt and I think he doesn’t like me", Nicole replied.
"I don’t think Matt doesn’t like you. You’re beautiful, sweet, smart and you’re sometimes funny", Emma said honesty.
"Well, thank you. Those are beautifully-said compliments", Nicole said.
"But still, I’m going to try my best to get his attention. I don’t want Hadey to be first", Nicole said after a long pause of silence.
"That’s the spirit. Besides, among the three of us, you’re the only one who didn’t have any boyfriend yet", Vanessa said. Nicole smiled, and then Vanessa and Emma joined to smile.
"Maybe we can invite them to a camp tonight", Nicole said.
"Where", Emma asked.
"At the beach side", Nicole said.
"That’s a great idea", Vanessa said. The three went down to make breakfast and called the others right after then.
"The three of us planned to camp tonight at the beach side. Do you want to join", Nicole asked the others at the middle of their eating (including Sabrina).
"Sure", Matt said firstly not waiting for somebody to say first.
"That would be great", Rico, Christine and Hadey said at the same time.
"Yeah, that would be great", Sabrina said happily, trying to flirt to Daniel by looking at him sweetly. Daniel bowed down and concentrated at his food. Emma laughed at him, knowing how he feels.
"I’ll ask mum and dad if I could borrow three big tents. One tent is for the three of us", Nicole said as she pointed Emma, Vanessa and her own.
"The other one is for the boys and the last one is for the three of you", she continued as she pointed Christine, Hadey and Sabrina.
"Okay", Christine said.
After eating breakfast and arranged her things upstairs in her room, Nicole headed to her Mr. and Mrs. Jacobe in the house where they were staying.
"Mum, dad, can I borrow three big tents where three people can sleep ‘cause we’re having a camp tonight. We want to have stars gazing", Nicole said.
"Okay. Just be sure you know how to care about it", Mr. Jacobe said.
"Thanks dad! Thanks mum", Nicole said at the same time kissed her parents in the cheeks. She ran and headed to a staff member to ask where they had put the tents. The staff pointed to a place and said that there is a cabinet there where the tents had kept.
"It has a label on it", said the staff member.
"Thanks a lot", Nicole said then ran to the place where the staff member pointed. Along the way, she bumped into Matt and landed on the ground.
"Oh, sorry", Nicole apologizes as she stood up.
"I’m sorry too", Matt said.
"Uhm, Matt, can you help me get the tents", Nicole asked.
"Sure", Matt said and together they went to the place where the staff member pointed.
When they arrived, they saw that the tents are put in the very top of the cabinet. Matt noticed Nicole’s worried face and remembered that Nicole was afraid of heights.
"Maybe I can get that for you", Matt said getting a ladder he found at the corner of the room and let it leaned the cabinet.
"No, I can do this", Nicole said climbing her first step in the ladder. Nicole was shaking in fright ‘cause she is still afraid of heights. She is shy too to ask Matt to do it for her.
"Are you sure you can do it", Matt asked.
"Yes", Nicole said.
"Just be careful", Matt said worrying. Nicole smiled happily as she continued to step into the rungs of the ladder. But when she reached for the tents, she felt out-balance and fell.
"AAAAH!"
Before she could reach the floor, Matt had already caught her, one hand beside her knees and the other hand in the upper portion of her back. She opened her eyes and saw Matt’s face. She struggled to get down from Matt’s arms and Matt had put her down.
"I told you to be careful", Matt said.
"Why are you so good to me", Nicole asked.
"Nothing, I was just concern", Matt said as he make his way to the top of the ladder.
"Why", Nicole asked.
"Because you’re my friend and, and—", Matt said as he took out of the cabinet three tents.
"And", Nicole asked again.
"Nothing. Just forget it", Matt said as he made his way down.
"Please tell me. I want to know", Nicole said pleasingly.
"It’s because I like you. Ever since we met, I had a crush on you and as we grew older together as friends, I had special feelings for you", Matt admitted. Nicole didn’t answer; she couldn’t believe what she had heard from Matt.
"I knew that that would be your reaction", Matt grumbled. He turned to face the door and opened it. But before he could get out, Nicole had grabbed his hand.
"I like you too", Nicole said while her eyes are starting to wet.
"Really", Matt asked for sure as he held Nicole’s hands and smiled.
"Really", Nicole said and smiled too. Matt leaned over to kiss Nicole but she tried to avoid it.
"Stop", Nicole said.
"Why", Matt asked disappointedly.
"I’m not ready to kiss a boy yet. Maybe next time", Nicole said.
"Oh, okay", Matt said as he kissed her in the cheeks and Nicole hugged him.
