Summer 15
Love story
(Wednesday)
Emma woke up earlier than Vanessa and Nicole. She stood up and changed her clothes. She went outside the room and when she passed the door of the boy’s room, exactly the door opened and appeared Daniel. She quickly walked and pretended that she didn’t see him.
I’m not ready to face him, Emma thought. Then suddenly, Daniel appeared at her side.
"Emma, about last night, I was just carried away. I didn’t mean –."
"I know. You didn’t expect that. I didn’t expect that too", Emma interrupted.
"I have to go. I’m going to someone", Emma excused herself then ran downstairs and left him walking upstairs heading downstairs. Daniel didn’t dare to grab her hand or follow her downstairs. He sat on the couch and turned the television on.
Meanwhile downstairs, Emma walked silently and stopped when she passed the swing beside the woods. She went to it and sat at the swing.
Am I going to tell him or not? Emma thought. She saw a five-petal, yellow flower. She stood up and picked it up. She went back to the swing and sat.
"I’m going to tell him", Emma said as she pulled the first yellow petal.
"I’m not going to tell him", Emma said as she did it again.
"I’m going to tell him", Emma said it as she pulled the third petal.
"Oh, I’m being stupid", she said angrily as she threw the flower. Then she covered her face with her hands in annoyance of herself.
Suddenly, Vanessa arrived at the swing where Emma was sitting problematically.
"I’ve been looking for you everywhere", Vanessa said gasping for breath from running. Emma took her hands away from her face.
"Hey, what’s wrong", Vanessa asked as she sat down across Emma.
"Nothing’s wrong", Emma lied.
"I know you’re lying", Vanessa said.
"I just can’t understand what I’m feeling", Emma admitted.
"Maybe you can talk to him tonight so you can tell him what you’re feeling", Vanessa suggested.
"Yeah, maybe that would work. But what would I say", Emma said hopelessly.
"Just tell him what you’re feeling and tell him what you think it would be. You can do it", Vanessa encouraged.
"Thanks for the advice", Emma said. She smiled but her smile was just forced.
"Do you want to drink their shake again? My treat", Vanessa invited.
"That would be great", Emma said standing up together with Vanessa and headed to the fruit shake shop to buy some snacks.
They took their shake and brought it to their bedroom. They brought one for Nicole. When they arrive at their bedroom, Nicole had already changed her pajamas into new clothes and was arranging her bed.
"What took you so long? And Emma, where were you", Nicole asked.
"I was finding Emma when I saw her on the swing", Vanessa said.
"And I didn’t forget to buy you a shake", Vanessa added.
The three drank their shakes while having fun.
