Love story
(Tuesday)
Emma woke up and ate breakfast with the others and went to sleep again.
"Emma, wake up! Wake up", Vanessa said while shaking her shoulders.
"Huh? What", Emma asked and opened her eyes. Vanessa’s faced blurred in the sunlight. After a few seconds, Vanessa’s face appeared clearly.
"Why are you waking me up", Emma asked as she covered her face with a pillow.
"Let’s go in the pool", Vanessa invited her excitedly.
"I don’t want to come. I know they are going there too so you have a company", Emma said lazily.
"No one’s there. If you will come, only the two of us will be there. Come on. Please, please", Vanessa pleaded and had done puppy eyes.
"Okay, okay. But I won’t swim. I’ll only come with you", Emma said. She stood up and changed into a short pants and a t-shirt.
"I like that shorts", Vanessa said.
"Thanks", Emma said. They went outside and headed to the pool. Emma sat in the poolside and put her feet in the water. Vanessa swam at the other side of the pool and swam back to Emma. Vanessa started splashing some water to Emma.
"Cut it out!"
Daniel, Rico, Matt and Nicole were heading to the pool while Vanessa waved at them. Nicole noticed her and came hurrying at them.
"You said no one’s coming", Emma whispered whose white t-shirt was almost wet.
"Well, I did invite them. Sorry", Vanessa said then went out from the pool and left Emma to greet them. Rico kissed Vanessa in the cheeks while Nicole and Matt faced each other shyly and caught each other’s eyes but Nicole looked down afterwards.
Daniel went near to Emma and sat beside her in the poolside.
"How’re you feeling now", Daniel asked.
"I’m okay", Emma said smiling. Daniel was wearing his t-shirt when he went down into the water.
"You’re not gonna swim", Daniel asked then Emma went down to the water.
"I’m not actually going to do this but I was jealous with everyone around", Emma said. Emma floated away from Daniel. Daniel planned to scare Emma so he swam under Emma’s back and held one of her foot.
"Aaaaah!"
Emma shouted as sharp as she can while Vanessa, Nicole, Rico and Matt who were sitting around a circular table all turned to look at her. Daniel rose up at the water.
"Nothing happen!"
"Why did you do that", Emma asked half-laughing.
"I just wanted to have fun, that’s all", Daniel said.
"Well, I think this is fun", she said as she splashed water to Daniel’s face. Daniel closed his eyes while avoiding the water. Daniel too splashed water to her face as they spun around while splashing water to each other.
"Hey, look at them, they’re so cute", Nicole said happily. The four turned to look at Emma and Daniel happily splashing water.
"Oh, no, the brat’s here", Vanessa said.
"Christine, Hadey and SABRINA", Nicole called out but when she mentioned Sabrina’s name, she said loudly and clearly for Emma and Daniel to hear. Emma and Daniel heard it but Daniel still continued splashing water at her. He didn’t care. He wanted Emma’s attention to be his. He thought that this was the right time to revenge. The water hit Emma eyes.
"Ouch!"
"Oh my God! I’m so sorry", Daniel apologizes as he come nearer to Emma. He looked at Emma in the eyes and touched the eye that was hit while Emma bowed down and kept touching her eye that was hit.
When you look at Emma and Daniel, it was like Daniel will kiss Emma. Vanessa, Nicole, Rico and Matt watched the two of them and thought that Daniel was going to kiss Emma.
Emma caught the sight of Sabrina coming nearer.
"Dan, I’m okay. I gotta get off here", Emma said as she started walking away and climbed out of the water. She joined Vanessa, Hadey, Rico and Matt while Rico and Matt left to go to Daniel.
Sabrina, Christine and Hadey sat at the poolside to chat with the boys. Hadey was shy because she was facing Matt for the very first time since she had a crush on him.
"Is Daniel going to kiss you", Nicole asked excitedly.
"No, when he splashed water to me, it hit my eye so he went near to see it", Emma said while a Nicole held out a towel.
Vanessa and Nicole were disappointed to hear this so they rest their back to the back of their own chair irritably.
"Why are your faces like that? Why, are you expecting that", Emma asked irritated. The two girls didn’t answer.
"Fine", Emma said loudly as she stood up.
"I thought you two are my best friends", Emma asked angrily. "But I think you’re not", she added and walked away.
Vanessa and Nicole were stunned. They watched Emma walked out and was heading to the house. Daniel noticed her and tried to follow her but Rico had grabbed him before he could get out of the water.
The three boys left Christine, Hadey and Sabrina in the pool and went to the table Vanessa and Nicole still sitting stunned.
"What happened to her", Daniel asked them.
"Misunderstanding, that’s all", Vanessa lied guiltily.
Emma went inside their room; changed into dry clothes and dumped to her bed. Instead of thinking what did Vanessa and Nicole have done, Daniel’s face appeared to her mind.
Whenever memories of Daniel appear to her mind, it brings a smile to her lips. She went to the balcony and breathes some fresh air. She sat on the chair facing the blue sky and sat there until lunch came. Vanessa knocked on the door and went in.
"Emma, it’s lunch already", Vanessa said but Emma pretended that she didn’t hear it and didn’t answer.
"Uh, Emma, I’m really sorry! Nicole’s sorry too. I think we’re expecting too much", Vanessa said.
"I’m so sorry! We expected too much", Vanessa apologizes as she approached Emma and sat on a chair beside her.
"I’m sorry too. I just got too emotional. You know Sabrina’s there and you knew what will she do when she heard it", Emma said with guilty face.
"I understand", Vanessa said. "So, friends?"
"Friends", Emma said. ‘Tell Nicole about it."
"Are you going to eat lunch", Vanessa asked as stood up.
"I’m not hungry. Maybe I’ll sleep again or rest", Emma said.
"Okay", Vanessa said and left her alone in the room. Emma stayed in the room surfing the internet with her laptop and didn’t noticed it was already dark. She became tired and decided to go downstairs. Before going downstairs, he heard someone strumming a guitar outside so she went down to see it.
When she arrived at the door, she saw Daniel playing his guitar in the stringed swing. She smiled and let him continue playing.
When he noticed Emma, he stopped.
"You still play your guitar", Emma asked as she sat beside Daniel in the swing.
"Not really", Daniel said shyly.
"Maybe you can teach me", Emma said excitedly. She took his guitar and start strumming it but it turns out noisy.
"Oh, sorry", she apologizes.
"Okay. Maybe I can teach you a little", Daniel said then he put his arm around her arm and put his hand above Emma’s hands (each: which were holding the strings). Emma seems surprised. He started strumming it with Emma’s hand under his hands (each). Emma stared at him but Daniel didn’t notice.
Emma didn’t pay attention in learning the notes but kept staring at him in the eyes until Daniel stared at her back. He didn’t expect her staring at him so he stared back at their fingers but he felt Emma was still staring at him so he stared back again. But now, they stared for a very long time. They drew their faces near each other. Daniel could see Emma’s eyes clearly, then. . . . . .

"I’m okay", Emma said smiling. Daniel was wearing his t-shirt when he went down into the water.

"I’m not actually going to do this but I was jealous with everyone around", Emma said. Emma floated away from Daniel. Daniel planned to scare Emma so he swam under Emma’s back and held one of her foot.
