Sugaring is less painful than old-fashioned waxing and helps exfoliate the skin during application. The sugaring recipe for waxing also promotes healthier looking complexion. So what are we waiting for? Let's see how easy it is to prepare your very own, homemade recipe.

Hair Removal Recipes

When you are looking for a quick relief from unwanted hair, doesn't matter which area of the body, these body sugaring recipes will definitely give you amazing results. Using sugar as a primary ingredient for waxing helps keep ingrown hair at bay and prolong the time for new hair to grow back in. There are two ways of preparing the mixture, either you make this recipe in microwave or over the stove. Both these methods are explained below.

Recipe #1

Ingredients
  • 1 cup sugar
  • ½ cup lemon juice
  • ¼ cup honey
  • Molasses
Procedure

In a microwave-safe bowl, pour in the lemon juice, sugar, and honey. Mix the ingredients properly and place the bowl inside the microwave. Turn the heat to high and let the bowl be inside for about 2-3 minutes. As soon as you find that the mixture is smooth and bubbly, remove the bowl. Let the bowl sit for some time and cool down. Once the mixture is at room temperature, store it in a clean, microwavable container, and place the lid.

Recipe #2

Ingredients
  • 2 cup sugar
  • ¼ cup cold water
  • ¼ cup lemon juice
Procedure

In a medium pan, pour in water, sugar, and lemon juice. Keep the flame over medium-low and keep stirring the ingredients every 15 seconds. This will prevent the mixture from burning. Once the mixture starts to bubble, check its temperature with a candy thermometer. If the temperature says 250ºF, take the pan off the stove. Let the mixture cool down and reach room temperature, which will take about 15 minutes. Store the mixture in a clean, microwavable container and place the lid.

Recipe #3

Ingredients
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup lemon juice
Procedure

In a medium pan, pour in brown sugar, water, and lemon juice. Keep the flame on medium-low and keep stirring the ingredients every 15 minutes. When the sugar melts and mixture turns brown, turn the flame off. Take the pan off the stove and let it cool down till room temperature. Place the mixture in a clean, microwavable container and place the lid.

To prepare a sugaring recipe without lemon, substitute it with vinegar. The results of the mixture will be almost the same. For application of any of the mentioned sugaring recipe for waxing, follow the procedure of regular waxing. After you're done waxing, apply some aloe vera gel or baby oil on your arms and/or legs to make the surface smooth and silky.
