Hence, a homemade product is always better. Let us take a look at a sugar waxing recipe, which can make home hair removal more easy.

Sugar Hair Removal Recipe

You can make your own hair removal product at your home. All the ingredients are easily available. To be precise, they are all household items only. As these home made wax products are basically made of sugar, we shall take a look at a sugar hair removal recipe. With the help of the following sugar waxing recipe you can make a body sugaring paste for home hair removal.
  • This sugar hair removal recipe requires 2 cups of white cane sugar, 1/4 cup water and 1/4 cup of lemon juice. Juice of two lemon will be sufficient for the purpose, but make sure to strain out the seeds and the pulp.
  • Take a heavy sauce pan and place the pan over a medium to high heat. Add the ingredients and stir it well.
  • When the mixture comes to a boil, simmer the heat and leave it like that for 30 minutes. The timespan is very important, as overcooking can make the product too sticky and if not cooked properly, it can be too watery to achieve the purpose.
  • The color of the mixture changes as it cooks and you can judge the perfect consistency of the paste with the help of its color. Within 25 to 30 minutes of cooking, the mixture will turn dark amber in color. This is the perfect color, which means the mixture has reached the required consistency.
  • Now, you have to remove the mixture from the heat. This has to be handled very carefully, as the hot mixture can cause burns in case of contact with the body.
  • Let it cool for twenty minutes, before filling the mixture in an air tight container. Always make sure to close the container with its airtight lid. Store the container in the refrigerator.
Application of Body Sugaring Paste

You can use this mixture either as a cold wax or as a hot wax. If you want it as hot wax, heat it slightly and apply it on the skin with a dull knife in the direction of hair growth. Place a cotton strip over the application and press it slightly. Now, you have to pull the strip in the direction opposite to the hair growth. This is similar to the normal waxing procedure. If you want to use this body sugaring paste as a cold wax, the method is little bit different from the conventional cold wax. You can use the mixture directly. Take out the container from the refrigerator and grab a small amount of the paste. It will be a little bit rubbery, but don't apply it directly on the skin. Roll it lightly to form a ball. Overdoing it can change the consistency of the product as the body heat can melt it. Now, spread the paste over the skin, in the opposite direction of hair growth. Press it lightly and pull it slowly to remove the hair.

Home body hair removal with the help of a sugar hair removal recipe is advantageous in many ways. Apart from saving money, it also gentle to the skin. It can be used for removal of facial hair too. The use of a body sugaring paste recipe for waxing makes the process less painful than that of other commercial wax products. Above all, you can do it in the privacy of your home.
