Success is Balance

Just from the title of P.Diddy’s hit song in the late 90s, "More Money, More Problems" is a revelation of someone who does not have the right attitude in having too much money. It is a shout out of an unbalanced life. In the first place, why are you yearning for success if that would be the case? What makes you say that if you’re rich you are successful? One should remember that in every increase in profits, big and ugly ‘frogs’ tag along. The more higher the raise, the higher the expectations are.

The Essence of Success

Brian Tracy’s hit book, "Eat That Frog" is a success story itself. It teaches a vast selection of 21 principles where everyone can apply it in his or her life. The essence of success is by disciplining yourself first and the rest will follow. To discipline yourself is by categorizing and accomplishing your goals according to urgency. The more urgent it is, the bigger that ‘frog’ is. By eating the biggest ‘frog’ in your work life with focus and passion, you are disciplining yourself to get things done earlier as expected. By doing so, you become time efficient and productive at the same time. As a result, it’ll increase your profit noticeably and balance everything out.

The Essence of Balance

Balance is the measurement of success for it entails a lot of discipline and focus to maintain it. Living a well-balanced life is a symptom of success. Balancing success in one’s life is the biggest ‘frog’ of all. One should learn how to care for each basic goal (as defined by the book in "The Rule of 3") in his or her experience towards success. "Eat That Frog" discussed further that by being successful; one should know how to engage in moderation to have a holistic approach. Your demands increase when you become successful. Meeting the needs of your career, family, financial, health, professional and social goals should be done everyday in a synchronized fashion.

The Essence of Both

Not all rich people live a well-balanced life, some ge caught up with the race and find security in superficial things. They may be financially stable but their substance as an individual or their family is compromised. Success and Balance is a tandem. They can’t be torn apart. Again, to have a successful life is the biggest ‘frog’ of them all. But, as long as you maintain your focus only on important things, then you’re definitely a candidate for success.
