Stress is the new buzzword nowadays; it has come into the common idiom of people and everybody is looking for ways to get rid of their stress. Some try Aromatherapy, some opt for meditation, some also choose to let the stress increase and one day fall victims of their own negligence. We are trying hard to get rid of stress because it leads to depression, anxiety, memory loss, lack of confidence and ultimately behavioral problems or health problems. There are many executives, students and housewives as well who try to find out a solution to stress but not always serious stuff like aromatherapy or meditation. Yes here I will discuss about the Stress relief Games that help in taking your mind off the stress and relax you completely by taking your attention towards the elements of the game. Though they are stress relievers, they can also be a source of stress so it is suggested that these games should be played for limited hours and in intervals whenever you feel that the anxiety or the tension is going over board so that the stress relief games does not effect the physical and psychological health of a person.

Okay, now this question might have varying answers and adding one more, my answer would be that though there are games, which are called "Stress Relief Games", yet you can play any game that gives you pleasure and a pleasant deviation. So it can be your favorite football, basketball or solitaire on the computer. I would say it is entirely dependent on you. Outdoor games give physical as well as mental exercise but you might not have the time or convenience to play an active outdoor game, in that case rely on these indoor games which can be cross word, Sudoku or any kind of other mind games and puzzles.

What are the guidelines that are to be followed while choosing a game?

Now whichever game you choose, there are some simple guidelines, which are as follows:
The game that you choose to play should be a game that you win as defeat can add to your stress levels. When you are stressful, success and triumph helps to boost your morale and not defeat so it is better if you learn to handle your own psychology.

Next keep in mind that the game is being played to divert your mind and give you a feeling of healthy competition and teach you the way to handle challenges but if you play a game, which emphasizes on cunning and sly, then these tend to have a negative effect on the already stressed mind.

Yes it is true that you must not play games, which might have a negative effect on your mind, but you can play games, which helps you to vent out like games that allow you to practice target or archery. That way you would not only gain on your self-confidence but also do a mental exercise that would help to hone your skills.
