Learn how to recognize the type of stress you have and reduce negative stress. Start living a happier life today and stop worrying about the wrong things.
Everyone has stress, its how much stress that you’re experiencing that makes the difference. There are things that cause good stress, which is healthy and normal. Everyone needs a certain level of it. When you have so much stress that it’s causing you physical and mental problems, then it’s time to start looking at ways to reduce it.
One good way to reduce stress is to exercise. Adding some extra activity to your daily routine is a good way to help fight the battle. Things that are enjoyable to you are the best. For instance, if you like being outside go for a walk, play sports, take your children to the park etc. If it’s too cold there are also lots of activities to do in the house, exercise tapes and general cleaning while listening to your favorite music are a few ideas.
Another important factor when trying to reduce stress is to write down your schedule and try to stick to it. Keeping a log of what you do and what you need to do is important. Always try to do this in a quiet place where you can relax. I know it’s hard for most people who have extremely busy schedules (it is for me also) but you will see a big decrease in stress if you try doing this. Even 15 minutes a day would help.
Don’t make something that will pass into a huge catastrophe! Everyone has problems. I do this all the time. I take something and blow it up until I feel like it’s the end of the world if it doesn’t change. It’s important to remember that problems are only as big as we make them and take it one day at a time.
The nutritional choices we make are also important. When I eat junk I feel like junk. I guess something was right about the saying, "You are what you eat." When I take my vitamin and eat healthier I feel good mentally and physically, as to when I skip the vitamin and eat on the road I feel ran down and tired, it’s important to try to maintain a balance.
Talking to loved ones is another important stress reliever. Everybody needs someone who cares to listen to their problems or to just pay attention to them. It’s also important to listen to the one’s you care about. Take the time to call those people and let them know you care. Above all stay in touch with the way you feel about yourself. It’s important to know we all have a purpose and we all matter.
