Strawberry Margarita Recipes
Margarita is a tequila-based cocktail which is very popular around the world, especially among women. There are variety of authentic versions of margarita, strawberry margarita is one of them.
Strawberries are known for their flush red mouth-watering flesh, which is not only pleasing to the taste buds but also have many health benefits, as they are rich in phenols and antioxidants. Strawberry and tequila together form a unique combination that gives a sweet and tart flavor to the cocktail.
Strawberry Margarita
Ingredients
- ½ strawberry schnapps
- 1 oz tequila
- 1 oz lime or lemon juice
- ½ oz triple sec
- 2 oz or 5-6 frozen strawberries
- 2 oz smashed ice
- Some sugar
Blend the tequila, triple sec, lemon juice, schnapps and frozen strawberries with ice. Filter the ingredients into a cocktail glass filled with ice cubes and rimmed with sugar. Garnish with fresh strawberries and enjoy.
Strawberry Basil Margarita
Ingredients
- 1 cup hulled strawberries
- 1 tbsp orange-flavored liqueur, like Cointreau
- 3 large basil leaves
- ¼ cup tequila
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 8 ice cubes
- 2 tbsp white sugar
Put the strawberries, tequila, orange-flavored liqueur, lemon juice, sugar and basil leaves in a blender; mix on low until smooth. Now add the ice and puree and blend for 30 to 60 seconds or until the ice is crushed. Pour in a cocktail or champagne glass with ice cubes and rimmed with salt. Garnish with basil leaves and enjoy.
Ultimate Frozen Strawberry Margarita
Ingredients
- 8 oz frozen sliced strawberries in syrup
- 6 fluid oz tequila
- 4 fluid oz frozen limeade concentrate
- 2 fluid oz triple sec
- Ice cubes
Fill the blender jar with ice and crush. Add the tequila, triple sec, strawberries and limeade and blend well for 30 seconds or until smooth. Pour the mixture in a margarita or cocktail glass with rims dipped in powdered sugar. Garnish with fresh strawberries and enjoy.
Strawberry Margarita Punch
Ingredients
- 1 pack frozen strawberries
- 8 can frozen limeade
- 2 quart Jose Cuervo Tequila
- 4 cups water
- Fresh strawberries
- Crushed ice
In a large punch bowl, defrost the limeade and add water and tequila to it. Blend the frozen strawberries with a little of the mixture and then add to the bowl. Keep some strawberries for garnish, puree the rest and mix with the punch. Now add crushed ice to the punch bowl and float the remaining strawberries on the brim.
These recipes are easy to prepare and will make you the host with the most! Strawberry margarita can also be served as a dessert, after dinner. Personally, I would prefer to have a chilled strawberry margarita on a hot Sunday afternoon.
