Story of Elvis and Priscilla Presley

The story of Elvis and Priscilla Presley was amongst the most talked about since the time they met. Elvis Presley was a person who needed no introduction. He wooed women with his deep vocals and his very handsome personality won the hearts of all ladies. His photogenic looks always caused a flutter! His marriage with Priscilla Presley and subsequent divorce kept them under media speculation for a long time. Well, Priscilla Presley is beauty personified and together they were looked at as one of the most beautiful couples ever!

Priscilla Presley (24th May, 1965) is an actress as well as a businesswoman. She has a daughter named Lisa Marie Presley, the only child of Elvis Presley (8th January 1935-16th August 1977). Priscilla met Elvis when she was only 14 years of age. There was a difference of 10 years between them, and although Elvis was only 24 years of age, both came close to each other in a short span of time. Elvis met the beautiful and gorgeous Priscilla when he was with the United States Army in West Germany. When the handsome singer returned back to US, he kept in touch with Priscilla through phone calls and letters. This helped their relationship to blossom. Priscilla finally convinced her parents to send her to Los Angeles. When she returned back to Germany, she did not convey the details of the depth of her relationship with Elvis. Her parents however, did notice a change in her with the amount of time she spent on the phone talking to Elvis.

Elvis managed to convince Pricilla’s father to grant permission to allow Priscilla to stay with his father. This was the time when they met frequently and grew closer. Priscilla finally married Elvis on the 1st of May, 1967 in Las Vegas. Things were however different from here on. Rumors say that Elvis was romantically involved with other women, which is why the couple grew apart. However, this was also the time when Elvis spent a major portion away from home. Priscilla began attending karate lessons to drive away the lonesome feeling. However, she ended up in a relationship with her trainer, Mike Stone. It’s also said this was the reason the couple separated on 23rd February 1972.

However, the couple shared the custody of their only child, Lisa Marie Presley. Elvis passed away on 16th August 1977.
