Still Waiting (1)

Hey everyone, I'm a student and I haven't really written before, but reading the articles on Buzzle have inspired me to give it a try so here's the first chapter :) please have a good read and please comment and give me your opinions about my writing :) thanx!
''Please take a seat, I'll get back to you in a minute'' said the receptionist who was dressed in a little brown skirt that went perfectly well with her golden-brown formal shirt and her amber-colored high-heels.. She had a smile on her face and went around my new school's office, which looked very crowed with the random movement of teachers, with files of important documents.

I sat there quietly looking around everyone getting busy, and suddenly I heard my name being called "..holly Mcartny???" I turned around to see where I had heard it from, and saw a clerk dressed in his blue uniform, waiting for me to answer.

"Yes, that's me" I mumbled with a smile, he looked very young and by the looks I could tell he was a friendly man.

'Follow me..' he said and started walking towards the stairs, I quickly picked up my sling bag which was practically empty and made my out of the crowded office. I walked with my head down behind the clerk who was going to take me to my class.

I was pretty excited on my first day, but sacred too of what this school has in store for me. I wanted to start all over again, and moving into this new country gave me this refreshing opportunity.

Last year wasn't as I expected it to be, life got hard and this time I have to prove my self to all my near and dear. I was too engrossed in my thoughts, giving my self a boost before I'd face a new vital part of my life. 'hello???' said the clerk waving his hand in front of my face, I was lost in thought that I hadn't realized he was talking to me "oh, I'm sorry" I said feeling embarrassed.

"Haha first class on the left" he laughed and left. I was left alone on the corridor to find my way for myself.
