I dashed towards the lake-side beach, a blissful laugh ringing from my chest. I haven't laughed like this in a long time. I haven't felt this content since middle school.

I kicked of my shoes and dropped bag where the wooden path became engulfed by the moonlit sand. After striding closer to the dancing water, I let myself tumble and roll a few feet down the very gentle slope. Only a few seconds later I heard another laugh. One as happy as my one. I pulled myself up from my lounging position and stared up at the hazel eyes of Kingsley Wright.

"Nice going," he laughed, grabbing my hand to pull me up. "Look at you! You're covered in sand! Let's go in the house and get you cleaned up," he suggested still obviously amused. "My sister has some close you can borrow."

"Actually," I dropped my voice to just above a whisper, and put on my most flirtatiously, smug smile, "I have a better idea."

Kingsley looked a little confused when I ran even closer to the waters edge. I started to pull my V-neck T-shirt over my head, then dropped my tight holy jeans. I was wearing only my blue VS Pink yoga boy shorts and my favorite black bra. He finally got the picture.

"Well, Kingsley Wright," I taunted, "you just gonna stand there and stare?"

"You really want to do this, Marliegh?" he asked, with a dangerous smirk.

"What? You're not scared are you?" I continued to tease. "Come on! Let's do something crazy. Let your hair down, Kingsley."

"Alright, if that's the way you want to play it."

I dived into the water first and heard Kingsley shortly behind me. Poking my head up from the under the water, I saw his gorgeous eyes and perfect face before it registered in my mind that he was all mine for the night. Just mine.

I trod the waters over to him and kissed him, wrapping my arms firmly around his neck. Just touching him sent sparks flying through me, and a few seconds later, when he started kissing me back, wrapping his arms tightly around my slim torso, fireworks lit the sky- well, in my mind any way. It was bigger and brighter than the Fourth of July. It was everything I'd ever hoped for and more. Shivers ran up down my spine when Kingsley pulled me closer.

I thought it didn't exist, but this is the kiss. The perfect kiss.

The thought made me giggle, which made him laugh, so we broke apart and, after a few minutes of teasing and splashing around in the water, we headed back to the shore.

"Want a beer?" asked Kingsley in a raised voice from the kitchen as I sat feeling awkward in one of his over sized tee-shirts and his sister's shorts- I might has well have been wearing just my underwear; these are the shortest shorts I've ever seen!

"Yeah, sounds great," I called back from the den couch that faced the open lake. I was happy enjoying

"Good," he whispered directly in my ear.

"My Lord!" I gasped. "Don't sneak up on me like that!"

"You know," Kinsley toyed, taking a seat next to me, "for a very bold little girl, you sure do get scared easy."

"I'm definitely not little," I protested with practically no force in my voice.

I took a few soothing sips of beer and Kingsley did the same. We sat there in an awkward silence for a little bit longer.

Kingsley broke the silence first by flatly saying, "You sure do look good in my shirt."

After we recovered from the enormous eruption of laughter that left us with, I told him thanks and asked if he had any decent music we could play.

"Yeah, of course. We have an iPod that stays here for parties and stuff. It should be over there in the draw under the microwave."

When I started to prance towards the designated drawer, I felt Kingsley's gaze on my back- more specifically my butt. I made a mental note to remind myself that the super short shorts and on oversized tee-shirt thing wasn't such a bad idea after all.

I grabbed the iTouch and secured it in to the iHome speaker system. Quickly scrolling through the list I picked an upbeat Pitbull song- I think it was 'Hotel Room Service'- and started dancing toward Kingsley to the hip-hop/Spanish song.

I moved my hips in rhythm and my hands traveled along my upper body, stopped to toy with my hair, then reached for the ceiling and only to travel along the same path back down. But my eyes were my weapon of choice. I had mastered how to turn my innocent, blue eyes into a deadly seductive piece of weaponry almost no guy could resist. So I didn't so much as take my eyes off Kingsley and I really don't think he minded.

Just as I slowly and sexily danced my way over to him, hoping to make some kind of move, the song ended and the automatic shuffle played the next one. A slow one started to play and I awkwardly froze, not quiet sure what to do.

Kingsley just smirked and stood up- right against my body.

"I love this song," he said. It was 'I'll Be' by Edwin McCain. All I could do was nod in response as my breath became uneven and slightly ragged.

He rested his left arm lightly on my lower back and held out his left arm for me to hold. I did, and rested my left arm on his shoulder, leaning my head against his chest. I relaxed as we swayed slightly to the music.

When it hit the chorus he whispered the lyrics into my ear. "I'll be your crying shoulder, I'll be your love suicide, I'll be better when I'm older, I'll be the greatest fan of your life."

We finished the song this way. We didn't beak apart when it was finished although it was a very high paced song- I couldn't tell you anything else about it though.

"You know my favorite part of that song?" he asked referring to 'I'll Be' as we continued to sway to the party song.

"Nuh uh. What part?"

"At the beginning when it goes 'Tell me that we belong together, Dress it up with the trappings of love."

After a moment in silence I said what I've been wanting to say almost all night. "We belong together."

I could feel him almost chuckle and smile, which made me smile. "I'll never forget those lyrics."

And so we just danced for what seemed like forever.
