Staying Strong - Chapters One and Two
These are chapters one and two, story about teens struggling with self-harm and depression.
Chapter One: A.
About A.
A. is a fifteen year old girl who enjoys playing tennis and hanging out with her friends. She enjoys eating at subway, just like her idol, Demi Lovato. She loves glitter and the colors green, and pink. She is very supportive of the girls that go through the same things she has gone through and is overcoming.
Her story
A. was always conscious of her weight, looks, and other things that mattered to her. But in 7th or 8th grade, she became even more self-conscious. People would call her fat, ugly, annoying, worthless, stupid, and other unkind words. One thing she remembers is when a girl made a fake profile about her. She said how much she hated her, she called her fat, and ugly. She also said that she looked like she belonged to a zoo and that she's an animal, which would hurt anyone. In 8th grade, she began to cut. She is afraid to tell anyone about her struggles because she is afraid of being judged. But, she tells her best friends, because it helps her when she talks to others who understand her.
The aftermath
She has been sober of cutting since December 26th and is still struggling with her eating disorder. She is currently seeking help from her friends to overcome all of her struggles.
Her advice to you
"They [You] can help others by being there for them and never leaving their side. They always have to believe in them, and be there for good advice."

Chapter Two: B.
About B.
B. is a picture perfect, ideal teenage girl. She's sixteen years old, and currently lives in Texas. Two things that play a major part in her life are cheerleading and modeling. She relishes playing soccer in her spare time and traveling to New York. She is fond of Italian food and also admires Demi Lovato, for her courage to overcome her struggles. Almost every girl would dream of being a beautiful cheerleader and model like B., but she dreams of having a different, better life.
Her story
When B. was a young girl, she was often bullied and beaten up. Throughout elementary school, B. developed an eating disorder and started cutting after finding out about the death of her grandfather and her friend. In middle school, she developed cancer and was rumored dead after not going to school for one month. In October, she tried committing suicide by slitting her wrist. Her uncle had found her unconscious, the next day and took her to the hospital where she was in a coma for a week. and spent another week in therapy. Recently, she had received insulting, heartless texts saying, "you're fat," "you're ugly," "People want you to die," and "Go jump off a cliff." She showed her strength and courage by showing that the texts didn't hurt her emotions and she was still smiling.
The aftermath
Now B. faces the pressures of being a model (you have to be under 110 lbs. to be acceptable) and tries to find other ways to express her pain rather than self-harm. She often opens her heart to her friends who she trusts. Because she is afraid, people will not accept her because of her past and who she is now. She now hasn't done any self-harm in two months and has been eating more than she was a month ago.
Her advice to you
"Speak up, don't get lost in the crowd... There is help for you. Stay Strong and never give up."
