Schedule for a Stay at Home Mom
A person, looking in the house from outside might find the stay at home experience to be very pleasant and relaxing. Every outsider thinks that moms have all the time in the world to clean the house, prepare food and take care of each member of the family. But one does not know how difficult it is to manage so many things single-handedly and with so much of perfection. I do understand the pains of work at home moms who accomplish their task without mistake. So, to make their days easier and to give a structure to their responsibilities, I have got a schedule. Here is a sample designed according to the usual responsibilities of a mother.
| Typical Schedule | |
| 7:30am-9:00am | Wake up and do your exercises or go to the gym. Get ready for the day and say your prayers. Read the Bible for 20 to 30 minutes to begin your day with peace of mind. |
| 9:00am - 10:00am | Prepare the breakfast. |
| 10:00am - 10:30am | Get the kids ready for school or for the day. |
| 10:30am - 12:30pm | Free time for moms, can do anything like cleaning the house, playing with the kids, run errand or any extra work. |
| 12:30pm - 1:00pm | It is lunch time! Get ready with the food for the kids. |
| 12:30pm - 2:00pm | Playtime and home school for preschooler. |
| 2:00pm - 4:00pm | Small nap time for the kids. |
| 4:00pm - 5:00pm | Do any recreational activity. |
| 5:00pm - 6:00pm | Cook dinner. |
| 6:00pm-7:00pm | Relish the food with your family. |
| 7:00pm - 7:30pm | Clean the kitchen. |
| 7:30pm - 8:00pm | Your time, free time. Can go for a walk, remember God or make preparation for the next day. |
| 8:00pm - 8:30pm | Get your kids ready for bed. Give bed snack. |
| 8:30pm - 9:00pm | Quite time for the kids because it is bed time. |
| 9:00pm - 11:00pm | Spend time with your spouse and or watch T.V. together. |
This is a typical schedule, but it might vary according to the additional responsibilities, preferences and priorities of respective mothers. For example, a schedule for mom with toddlers will be slightly different as most of the time is spent running after the child. Apart from this there are certain things that moms must remember while planning the schedule.
Things to Remember
