Start The War
I got REALLY bored in class one day, and wrote this about my teenage struggles.
Let’s start the war,
Put your gun on the floor.
We don't have time,
So run out the door.
Leave your troubles on the mat.
Leave your mouth at home.
This is the real world,
And you are will be alone.
You only got one chance,
To take back what’s yours.
Stop worrying about the past.
We're in the final hours.
Don't look back and keep moving forward.
You'll never know when daylight ends,
So keep moving on until we're done.
We'll never break, we'll just bend.
Love comes softly,
But pain never dies.
With each new scar,
Another lover cries.
Mothers mourning over
Loved ones so dear.
It was all so blurry,
Now it seems to clear.
You never know what you got
Till it's never seen and gone.
You wait nervously for
phone calls all wrong.
They're dead and dying.
Bodies all around.
Pick your gun up off the floor.
Let's start this war.
