Start a Better Life - Save Your Money
Some advice on saving money.
Many of us struggle with monetary issues these days. Much of it is due to two reasons; we have credit cards to pay for our luxury, secondly; we want to be better than the Jones’s.
Both of them are unnecessary. 1) Why should we pay two or three times as much for items or groceries by using credit cards? Would we buy the item if it was twice as expensive at the shop? 2) We don’t know anything about the financial struggling the Jones’s have. And there is no reason we should buy items to become better than others.
The wise thing to do would be to start with these irrational buying. We do not have to prove ourselves as good as others by buying the same or better items. We should instead focus to have a sustainable economic where we are not too dependent our salary to pay a debt that keep increasing.
One way to remove some of the credit debts is to stop buying on credits, and of course to pay down the credit debt as soon as possible. I would recommend starting paying down the credit card you have least debt on, till you have paid it down, then to start paying down the credit card you have least debt on again. You will continue paying down the credit cards till you have no more credit debt left. When you reach this goal you shouldn’t get any more credit debt at all; instead save for what you want. You could easily save money to most things you want if you save all the money you previously used to pay down credit cards.
A good way to get some additional money to pay down the debt is to simply start buying more wisely. Start using a list to write down what you need before you go to the shop. It will help you avoid buying items you normally just attach to your shopping round. At least I used to have the bad habit of buying something extra when I went to shop. Often items I never needed, or never used at all. They somehow just got bought because I saw them, and didn’t really think before I got them. When I use a list I stick to the list, and don’t buy anything that isn’t on my list. And the few times I buy something extra I think really careful if it is something I really need, or if I can be just the same without buying it. It helps just to ask if it is something I really need.
