Starlight (6)

Carol's POV:

"So Carol will be going to Jake's school, okay?" Jake's mom said and I slowly nodded. I still won't speak in front of any one besides Jake, even if it's already a week since he found out.

"So this is your uniform. Don't worry. You're in the same class as Jake so there will be at least one person that you know and Jake can introduce you to his friends" I nodded and she continued to tell me about school. Once she was done, I went back up and entered m-Jake's room.

"My rule: If anyone bullies you or teases you, tell me immediately, got it?" Jake said the minute he saw me. "...Okays..." I promised. Somehow, there was a warm feeling in my chest. What is this feeling?

I looked at the uniform that was on my bed. It wasn't bad. I looked at the clock and since it was beginning to get late, I hanged my new uniform and placed it in my closet before getting into the covers and going to sleep.

Darren's POV:

What am I going to do? I was practically trapped. "Well Well. If it isn't Darren Lee. Wait. Where's your sister? I thought you were always together?" There was a sense of mockery in Rick's tone and I didn't like it. "I swear! If you dare to lay a hand on Destiny, i'll have your head!" Darren warned.

"We'll let you go if you tell us where she is" Rick demanded. Shit! They changed their target to Destiny. This is bad. "I don't know..." I said. Which wasn't a lie. "Well then...." he left the sentence open as he shot a fireball at me. He sure was weak.

I quickly dodged it and threw a water-ball in response. He fell on his a** and I ran past him, desperate to get out of this hell hole and find Destiny. I just hope that it isn't too late.
