Star Coronia Chapter 1

Chapter 1 of my short story of a space mercenary group called "Star Coronia"
CHAPTER 1: The Beginning

"Come on, Horatio! Pick it up! You know I'm not taking you on missions until you gain
some skill."

"Jesus Jama, give me a break. Not only am I using an experimental ship, I'm not very skilled. That’s why we are even out here." Those were not the only reasons Horatio was doing poorly today in training. Today is the day Six years ago his and Jama's Parents died. The Barnardo family was a great family. They were liked by many people, others indifferent. All but one person. Grace Polonius, who blamed her parents deaths on the Barnardo family. One day on a vacation, she and her small group of pirates attacked the Bernardo family and Horatio's father forced Jama and him to flee. His parents were later found dead. Horatio and Jama have changed a lot since then. Horatio looks like your typical "Bad boy cop" with the white shirt with thin vertical tan stripes, a blaster holster going from his left shoulder to his right waist, blue slightly worn out jeans, blue eyes and somewhat short light brown hair. Jama looked quite different. He wore a scanner over his left eye, wore army-like clothing, and had brown eyes. Since the incident resulting in their parent’s death Jama has been looking after Horatio and has worked as a mercenary. He is quite skillful, and recently he decided to let
Horatio learn how to use a star fighter, the experimental ship known as a CWING.

"Horatio...look, even though I may not look it, I'm not happy today also..." Jama thought for a moment. Noting that it was lunch time, he continued by asking "You want to take a break and head over to Him Tortins?"

"Yeah...sure. But you're paying this time!" Laughing, Jama raised a communication with his crew's mother ship.

"Hey, Horatio and I are heading over to Him Tortins. You guys meet up with us there, alright?"

"Can I assume Horatio suggested it again?" Asked Lisa Cladius. Lisa Cladius was the Left wingman...or wing woman if you prefer. She took pride in her flowing blonde hair, and her green eyes seemed to exaggerate her hair. Her clothes worked well for her, even if it was a Fleet issued dress.

"Naw, this time I suggested it. It’s...not a very good day for Horatio and me." Jama replied.

Breaking in to avoid silence, Peter Klaus quickly said off-screen "I suggest we get a move on if we don't want to wait in line long. It’s nearing lunch time."
