All this makes it a perfect option as an aerobic exercise. But unless and until a person is not aware of the tricks of the trade (read squash!) it will all be a damp squib. So, check out some tips!

Tips for Squash

Eye of the Tiger
I was thinking as to where do I start from. But then it suddenly dawned upon me that it can be nothing else than the connection between the eye and the ball. It is very important to keep an eye on the ball all through. A player moves his eyes away for a second and he is gone! A point is lost. This is one of the cardinal rules while playing squash, because of the sheer speed with which the ball travels.

Fit as a Fiddle
If a player's body cannot cope up with demands of the game, the tips and the tricks will be of mo use. As in any other sport, it is essential to be physically in an excellent shape. Only then a player can play well. Running, jogging, jumping and a few such exercises are good for the purpose, as squash is very demanding physically.

Players You Look Up To
To be good in the sport, experts always suggest that it is good to have a go at the game against a better player. Playing with those who are better than you can be great when it comes to squash playing tips. As a player an individual learns a lot and can improve his game play leaps and bounds. In addition to that, it is a quick way to learn the game.

Give it Back Well
An ideal return is hitting the ball to the deep corner and as close to the wall as possible. It almost works well to an opponent's serve. Further, mixing and playing around with your serves is also useful for a player. A hard, fast serve or a deep lob serve is an effective instrument to surprise the opponent.

Grab Every Opportunity
The more exposure and the more an aspiring player plays, it is great for that player. Participating in tournaments whenever and wherever possible is very effective. Local tournaments are a fabulous way to build up sporting skills for a player. A player can add new tricks and tips to his squash kitty. Making the relevant contacts is another plus point of participating in tournament.

Mind Matters
Conditioning your mind and getting the mental game, strategy and tactics are other important aspects of squash. After all, if your brain does not give a player the right signals, a fine body and loads of squash tricks would be of no use. Here is where the mind games take over. Tackling pressure and difficult situations and not buckling under pressure is one of the aspects of mental conditioning. That way, a player can outwit a stronger and faster player. Remember David and Goliath!

Practice Makes a Man Perfect
Well, I saved the best for the last and that is practice, practice and just practice. Without practice, a player can fritter away his or her amazing talent. Thus, the key is to practice and improve the game with that and never to stop learning new things in the game. That is what has taken legends a long way in making them what they are.

Last, but not the least is, in all this rat race, an aspiring player cannot ever forget to enjoy playing the game! If a person does not enjoy what he or she is doing, it is absolutely useless. Therefore, enjoying the game and relaxing is also very important! All the best!
