Some people say I’m an imposter
Some say I’m just full of "steam"
Others say I’d make the roster
Of any Hip-hop Olympic Team

Now I know that my dance moves just sparkle
And I know that the audience roars
I’m better than any old game of Farkle
‘Cause the applause often knocks down the doors

Well, I wish I could say I were happy
And I wish that hip-hop were my thing
But I’ve got to tell you, I'm not rappy
And I’m really A Square Dance King!

See, hip-hop really doesn’t have relevance
It has neither a heart nor a soul
It’s not found in the Doctrine and Covenants
And on my conscience it takes a great toll

But Square Dance is honest, like payday
It’s righteous, now that is the thing
That makes me so proud when I say
"Look at me, I’M THE SQUARE DANCE KING!"
