Spotlight at 12:00
About being raped at night.
Rain please just wash over me, all I want is to be clean!
Why won't you come? Listen for a second and you will realize it is not as it seems.
I was all alone and it was such a nice night,
So I went into the darkness, and straight out of the light.
The moon was my spotlight to guide my way,
And I thought why not I had such a great day.
I felt like a queen when my hair blew back with the breeze,
And it did not even matter when I realize I lost my keys.
But later is what matters when you wish life to be a dream,
And there was just no happy ending thanks to what od was to deem.
I grew scared I knew something was not right,
Something was hiding just past my sight,
I ran for cover right to my front door,
Only than did I realize the doom that was in store.
He grabbed me as I screamed out in pain,
He forced me to do things that changed me, made me no longer the same.
My spotlight moon was but a beacon,
And the wind but a curse,
When I was lying there broken that was by far the worst.
They caught him and gave him 2 to 3 years in jail.
But what I have to pay will that never ever will that be pale.
Every girl, or women or mother,
To every daughter, friends or other,
I remember you,
You are not just a number or a face for people to ask who?
You are beautiful.
Why won't you come? Listen for a second and you will realize it is not as it seems.
