Spoil Part 9

'Aunt Sally' I said hugging her. She still look the same, red hair and green eyes. I should have told Josh who Jay was but I didn't wanted to make a huge deal out of it but Josh still look concern I could see it in his eyes.

'Hi...' Josh said shaking Aunt Sally's hand.

'You must be Josh, nice to meet you'

'How do you know is Josh?' I ask surprise.

'Your mother told me about him' she said with a wink. I love Aunt Sally she was kind of like my best friend, it was really easy to talk to her I could never do that with my mom. We got into the car and headed home, but I wanted to go to convenience store so I told Josh to drop us off there and I would walk home since it wasn't that far.

'Hey, can I have some chocolate and diet Pepsi' I ask the man on the counter. I look around the store and before I could pay my cell start to ring.

'Hello?' I said confuse, I couldn't recognize the number.

'Hey, is Jay'

'oh... what's up?' I ask thinking why he was calling me.

'Nothing, you want to hang around sometime' He said with deep voice.

'Umm... I can't I’m busy' I didn't wanted to see Jay again but I didn't know how to tell him this.

'Oh... what you doing right now?'

'In the store buying some food' I said really fast.

'Can we meet right now please?' he asks

'Umm....I need to go home' I said trying to think of an excuse.

'Please is important'

'I don't think we should meet Jay' I said with a calm voice, I was scare to see Jay again I don't know why but I had this weird feeling about this.

'Please just once after that we don't have to meet' I could hear his voice tense.

'...Okay. Just once' I said and put the phone down. This was the first time I wasn't looking forward to see Jay.

When I went home everyone was in the living room, I overheard them talking about my dad who have been put on life-support, when I heard this I just couldn't move I wanted to go inside and cry.

'Don't tell this to Sandy' I hear my mom say, it sound like she was crying.

'But... she need to know' Josh was saying, I was standing near the door.

'NO! Josh please you are not going to say anything to her, she's going to be really upset' I couldn't believe what I was hearing how can my mom say this and Josh? Would he actually listen to her?

'But she would ask how he is' this time it was Aunt Sally speaking her voice was tease, they all were planning on lying to me about my own father. I didn't want to hear all this anymore so I just ran upstairs and lock the door. I just wanted to cry and be alone.

'Sandy you in there' I hear my mom voice and a knock on the door.

'I want to be alone!' I yelled back, I didn't wanted to see my mom.

'Sandy please listen t...' My mom was going to say something but she didn't complete.

'Hey open the door I need to talk to you' this time it was Josh.

'Josh please leaves me alone' I said holding the pillow.

'Please Sandy' Josh said, after couple of minutes I decided to open the door.

'Sandy what's wrong' Josh ask with concern eyes.

'Nothing...' I manage to say with teary eyes.

'If your worry about your dad than he's okay nothing is wrong with him' Josh said not making eye contact. A part of me wanted to hug him and tell him how much I need him but the other part of me wanted to know why he wasn't telling me the truth, why he was listening to my mom.

'I can't believe your listening to my mom Josh, I thought you were the only person who really care about me but instead you come here and lie to me, I heard you guys and I know dad is on life-support Josh' He looks at me in the eyes and hugs me really tight, I didn't wanted to let go.

'I'm sorry, I just didn't wanted you to be so upset' He said still hugging me, 'Don't worry he will be just fine' I just couldn't stop crying I hated myself for being so mean to my dad for never caring for him. It was my fault this happen, I should have been supportive to him but instead I ignore him. Life is so short but I didn't realize it till now.

When I saw my dad on the life support I just broke into tears, I just couldn't believe what I was seeing he look so sick and I wanted to hold him tell him I love him. Josh was holding my hand I didn't wanted to let it go. It was hard to see my dad in so much pain and I couldn't do anything about it!

'How did this happen?' I ask looking at my dad.

'He stop breathing we had to do CPR on him but we were too late his brain is damage' the nurse said looking at me.

'Is he going to be okay?' I ask, I could feel my heart beating fast.

'Is hard to say, we have told your mom to take out the life support. As soon as we take out the life-support he is going to die' She said looking into my eyes. I don't know what happen but I start feeling dizzy and the next thing I know everything was blank.

I woke up in the hospital bed, for one second I thought I was just dreaming. I saw Josh sitting on the chair beside my bed sleeping, he look so cute sleeping. I didn't say anything I just put my head back on bed and close my eyes, I didn't wanted to think about my dad and what's going to happen to him. I wasn't ready to lose my dad.

'How you feeling?' I heard a voice beside me, I turn my head and saw a women in nurse cloths.

'I'm okay, what happen to me?' I ask looking at her.

'You faint, you should eat more often' She said with a smile. 'Oh and your mom said she won't be able to see you for a while' the nurse added.

'What you mean' I ask confuse

'Your mom just told me to tell you this, maybe you can talk to her after' She said and left the room. Josh was up now.

'Are you okay?' Josh ask putting one hand on my head and one hand holding my hand.

'Ya I'm fine...' Josh look so sad and scare.

'You know you scare me, please never do this again' Josh said and gave me a soft kiss.

'Why did mom said she won't see me for a while?' I ask looking at Josh.

'I don't know she didn't tell me anything' Josh said blinking his innocent eyes.

'Where is Aunt Sally?'

'She's with your dad' Josh said and gave me a class of water to drink.
