Spirituality is a subject that stirs up so many different emotions within a human heart. It also plays a major role in the lives of billions of people, from all walks of life. We all have our personal ways of understanding what spirituality is all about. Also there are many groups of people who share same spiritual beliefs, or religious beliefs and when they gather together in similar beliefs and ideas this creates energy, which is uplifting to feel.

Spiritual beliefs are diverse within our globe. Though the sacred feelings within human heart is all similar, where we all try to have sense of belonging meaning and happiness. This is the common thread which binds our humanness. We all seek the same light, yet travel on different roads to reach to the top of the mountain of truth.
There are many ways a person can cultivate their spiritual muscles; example maybe, through prayers, meditation, kindness and reaching out to touch someone can all be seen as valuable for your spiritual muscle to grow and strengthen.

Spirituality can perhaps seen as; not a choice rather a necessity. As almost all peoples from all cultures all the races through out globe feel that there is higher powers which govern the cosmos we see before our eyes. We also need to realize the potential of each human heart; potential as such spiritual beliefs give sense of moral qualities to the student of chosen belief.

Certainly all faith beliefs have the message of oneness love respect humanness which allows the function of our complex societies. We as humans have really evolved on many fronts, from agriculture to science which teaches us the depths of cosmos to medical discoveries. We are still evolving through freedom of choice and expression, where as now days if a person chooses to follow a particular belief, he or she doesn’t get prosecuted or singled out. This again is a demonstration of our humanness which respects an individual and sees the spiritual subject as a personal matter. This is great news, yet as much as we can talk about the benefits of spiritual paths and spirituality at large, we also need to quickly touch on the downside of spirituality or faiths.

Yes unfortunately there is a downside to it all, and these can be seen as recent current events that shook the world, and to date still there is suffering in the name of faith. All these events occur because of misunderstanding and misinterpretation of faiths and religions. When a person who has a fresh sponge like mind, and a heart that desires meaning and belonging, is taken advantage of, by those who simply use faith as means to get their delusional desires, then suffering conflicts hostility arises. When we further study this phenomenon, we realize it is the conflict within the heart of certain individuals, where by when they study beliefs, they purely cannot reason, and become even more confused. Therefore care needs to be given to spiritual learning. We are all born with ability to reason with logic.

When the bases of beliefs are studied correctly, then reason and logic will tell you; it is the love and kindness towards all peoples of earth, that needs our attention to build our understanding on. Let’s give an example; and imagine the histories holy prophet named Jesus of Nazareth, now when anyone studies, it is crystal clear that, his message is quite simply, basically, love all and all are accepted, regardless of status, race, color, Asian, African, American. ALL are accepted with respect kindness open arms and pure love of divine, (as it will be unreasonable to think, when he fed masses of people, he would say things like (because your color is black or you are Asian or mentally disturb, you will go hungry and there is no food for you)) Also this is the case with all spiritual teachers of past history. Single message = Accepted with Love.

Therefore when we are witnessing the conflicts around the world, this is arising from the opposite of this message, as people still do not heed the message of acceptance. There is also misinterpretation which is passed down by the authority of major faiths. And that is; somehow we as humans need to carry and feel sin full feelings, and if we do not fear the punishments then we are going to burn in eternal hell. I will simply say, yes we need to have good morals and obey the human laws without hurting fellow humans. But it is very difficult to reason with things like, the divine of universe being cruel and punishing.

Spirituality when attended with reason and logic, will allow you to see the beauty the perfection around you and in you. And in the kingdom called thinking, where reason and logic meet giving birth to wisdom, will allow you to have a heart of a child, curios and adventurous. Spiritual mountain climbers will know, it matters not which road is taken to climb the mountain of truth, because on top the view will be the same for all.
