Geri Halliwell, Ginger Spice, reportedly told Billboard magazine that a reunion tour was probably out of the question. The Spice Girls reunited after almost 10-years for the Spice Girls World Tour, which ends in Toronto on February 26. Halliwell said, "It probably won’t happen ever again. I’m still blown away that we did more than one show. So, right now, I’m thinking this is it. This is the last time you will ever get to see this girl power, the five Spices onstage as one." Halliwell rubbished rumors of fighting between the Spices and said the tour was "amazing…an experience of a lifetime. I couldn’t have asked for it to be better, actually."
The Spice Girls formed in 1994 and include Halliwell, Emma "Baby Spice" Bunton, Victoria "Posh Spice" Beckham, Melanie "Scary Spice" Brown, and Melanie "Sporty Spice" Chisholm. They rose to instant fame in 1996 with the release of their hit single "Wannabe," and released three studio albums and thirteen singles. In December 1997, Spiceworld: The Movie was released. The movie starred all five Spices and was a box office hit, but panned by the critics.
Halliwell announced that she was leaving the group in 1998 due to some fighting between the members. The remaining Spices stayed together until calling it quits in 2001. The girls announced their reunion tour on Jun 28, 2007. The tour kicked off in Vancouver on December 2, 2007 and the concert reportedly sold out in 38 seconds. So despite a ten-year absence the Spice Girls proved they still ruled. As for absolutely ruling out another reunion tour, Halliwell said, "What this reunion taught me is you can never say never."
