Sorrow of the Hidden Emotion

The pain of hiding things.
Some things we cannot say
One day we'll come to pay
For all the hidden sorrow and tears
It'll haunt us throughout the years

We don't talk about the pain
We don't mention we're insane
We don't discuss our simple fear
We don't comprehend far or near

I'm just the kid who hides himself
Place my emotions on a shelf
They fall down to often to speak of
They hit the ground and then I reek of

The emotions I wish to hide away
The notions that I don't wish to stay
The immortal notion of eternal bliss
Is something that I keep as only a wish

This is a life that we have chosen
This is a path that we have woven
This is the face that I present
This is the face that I resent
