It has been sometime now that a phone from Sony Ericsson has excited us. Don't get us wrong, Sony has been making wonderful phones for the past 2 years or so, it's just that there was nothing new that the company was offering with its phones. The main USP of their phones was and still is the camera, in most of their phones. And this is not bad - they have a phone that can take pictures at 12.1 megapixels - something that can put most digital cameras to shame. However, in light of the recent changes in the mobile phones of today, Sony, with its cameras, were, unfortunately, left far behind. Almost all phone manufactures released something to directly compete with what can be called the superstar of mobiles, the Apple iPhone. Sony fanatics will say that the Xperia X1 and the Xperia X2 were phones that were released in the iPhone segment, but any user who has used both the phones will undoubtedly agree with me that the Xperia was lacking by far in the race for the smartphone king.

Sony fans can cheer now, as it seems that the company has realized that it needs to keep up with the market trends if it wants to survive in the cut throat business of mobile phones. And they have made an entry, as usual, with a bang. Their latest offering, the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10, is a behemoth, that might put even the coveted iPhone to shame.
