Somewhere - A Short Poem
Hearth wrenching. Sadness hangs over us like a . . .
Nothings working right now. Nothing at all
In a tunnel, staring ahead wishing. Wishing for light.
Sorrow wrapping like mist, choaking till in defeat we fall
Thunder booming, tear stained cheeks. We're 'bout to call defeat.
Like toy soldiers in a battle too grand for them
But wait! Listen through the crashing rain!
Hear that lull? That's the end nearing.
For just as the rain passes our cries will hollow to silence.
Nothing lasts forever. And soon joy with blot out our pain.
Cause in every bout of rain love, there's a clearing.
Just old on. We'll be alright.
