Some Words To Shout

Moments of happiness you can see
A grin beaming away shines from me

But this I can assure is just a mask
Hiding the pains of my everyday task

No-one knows the real true me
They only know what I let them see

It's difficult to see what my thoughts really are
What I show is not the truth by far

It’s difficult to see what I am thinking
It’s not obvious like waving or winking

I hide my emotions from all those who see
This is really the way, the way it must be

Cause if you see deep into my mind
You'll see some monsters that you'll find

These monsters lerk beneath my skin
They bring pain and fear, all kept within

I can’t let visions of this mess occur
Cause if you see my thoughts - you'll see her!

The woman I've kept hidden inside
The woman I really must continue to hide

Hidden for years upon years
Hiding my pain and tears

The lies forever buried away
Lies forever, hidden must stay

The inner self in a clever disguise
The only weakness is her broken eyes
