If you are traveling for the first time here are a few things to think about before you set off.
When traveling for the first time it is always worth doing a bit of organizing ahead of setting off. Look at the destination you are going to be going to and decide whether it is best to have a car, scooter or mountain bike when you are their or whether you would prefer to walk and get the bus or train. Most buses or trains can be booked in advance getting you beyond the entire thing of queuing or trying to negotiate the fare.
If traveling abroad make sure that you have the required jabs for that area and that you have as much health insurance as you can afford (being caught out when traveling can be a very costly affair. If you are traveling in an district that is lightly populated ensure you have been taught how to cope with any of the areas specific quirks.
If your main idea is having a break away from your day to day it is worth looking into working abroad, this really allows you to dip into the culture and pick up the feel of a place and fine tune your local dialect. There are all kinds of options for this including charity work and learning vacations.
If you have particular needs for your journey be it due to disability or dietry needs make sure you have taken it into account ahead of going, talking to your travel provider.
