Some Famous Italians of Today
Famous Italians : Information about great Italians today...
As I have observed, the people of Italy are known for being warm and friendly. They love to socialize with friends and families. They spend their relaxation and celebration time either at restaurants or at their cozy and warm home, where they can enjoy traditional and superb Italian dishes. But aside from fashion and excellent cuisines, Italians are also adept with talking or conversing. For them, conversing is a form of art. As you pass by cafes, restaurants and stores, you can hear varied conversations of the Italians. They animatedly talk about lots of interesting topics regarding sports, wine, politics, the economy, family, gossips, and work.
One of the most talked about topics among Italians is fashion. The country is branded as the world’s center of fashion excellence, and many people are fascinated with Italy’s extraordinary sense of style, which is stressed by almost all reknowed and famous Italian stylists like Emilio Pucci. He is known worldwide for his stylish, state-of-the-art, and status symbol sports attire collections. Today, many are still influenced and in awe by the collections of the acclaimed fashion genius Pucci. Due to his background on some sports, his designs are mostly made from his sportsman viewpoint. His apparel collection, which is made from the concepts of casualness, consists of colorful knit dresses, fashionable printed shirts, undergarments, and stylish pants.
Italy is not just home to internationally acclaimed fashion geniuses. The country is also noted for its famous Italian jeweler, Bvlgari. The company, which has become highly regarded by wealthy individuals and personalities, started off on its fine collections of luxury jewelries. It has now completely flourished from jewelries to fashion accessories, handbags, perfumes, and hotels.
To add to the list of famous Italians is J Paul Getty, one of the world’s richest men who owns the grandiose villa known as La Posta Vecchia. The palatial villa is located in Palo Laziale, south of Ladispoli, and lies 22 miles in Northwestern Rome and about 14 miles from the prestigious Leonardo da Vinci airport. It is set behind rigid iron gates amid a formal garden in an 8-acre park. The villa still embodies Getty’s ancient antique collection, from the steel doors to home furnitures. Getty decided to sell his precious treasure in 1990 because of some subdued reasons.
Meanwhile, in the field of sports, NBA aficionados will be witnessing new breeds of players and one of them came from Italy. Italian 7-foot forward Andrea Bargnani, the NBA first draft pick, happens to be the first European player to be drafted first overall. He is being compared to fellow European player Dirk Nowitzki because of height and outside shooting prowess. But in my point of view, Bargnani is purely hype and not a player to watch out for even if he plays like Nowitzki. He is too soft for a big man and I’m sure other big men will not take him seriously; so this Italian player must prove to NBA players and fans that he’s not all about hype.
Every nation has an icon that they can boast to the entire world, and surely enough, Italy has got some of the most highly recognized names in the world. In any field, may it be in that arts, business, or sports, expect an Italian to make his mark.
