Some Dreams
Poem of friendship and love…
Venomous words
On the tip of my tongue
Scream to be let loose
But are held in check
By the deep rooted fear
Of losing you
Recognition of fear
Brings a volcanic eruption
Of anger
Who are you?
Why should I care?
You don’t!
The anger rages
Fueled by these questions
That have no answers
Only to subside
As the deathly grip of fear
Cools the smoldering flames
And in its place
Is left
The ashes of disappointment
Heart wrenching
Bone-wearing
Disappointment
Some dreams are not meant to be
Some pains last a lifetime
And true friendship is the eternal dream of a lifelong pain.
On the tip of my tongue
Scream to be let loose
But are held in check
By the deep rooted fear
Of losing you
Recognition of fear
Brings a volcanic eruption
Of anger
Who are you?
Why should I care?
You don’t!
The anger rages
Fueled by these questions
That have no answers
Only to subside
As the deathly grip of fear
Cools the smoldering flames
And in its place
Is left
The ashes of disappointment
Heart wrenching
Bone-wearing
Disappointment
Some dreams are not meant to be
Some pains last a lifetime
And true friendship is the eternal dream of a lifelong pain.
