Somaliland’s Riyale: Illegitimate President of Illegal Country

Chaos in Somaliland - Explosions inside the Pseudo-parliament! A day before the illegitimate ‘parliamentary’ vote, a bomb explosion destroyed an office inside the parliament; however, no one was hurt.
When a president gets elected in a contestable way, we conclude that democracy does not function well in that country. If a president’s tenure is peremptorily extended, we name the country undemocratic and the president illegitimate. If this incredible story happens in a country that seceded from another by violating the national constitution and by breaching the International Law, we designate the country as illegal. Now, if all this occurs on a background of vilification of the political opposition, Anti-Semitism, oppression of the local minorities, and servitude to a colonial boss, we just call the abominable pseudo-country Somaliland.

This does not necessarily imply that that the illegitimate president of the illegal country does not have some money to pay his thugs, and finance his trips; this is regularly cashed due to accomplishment of all sorts of illegal activities. As the unfortunate, oppressed ‘citizens’ of the internationally unrecognized territory know very well, both the illegitimate president and the illegal country have an irrevocable date of expiry.

All these hard to accept realities go unnoticed by the Somali renegade and servant of the Somaliland regime’s propaganda purposes, Mr. Abdulazez Al-Motairi, in the irrelevant eulogizing that he published (http://www.americanchronicle.com/articles/58737) a few days ago under the title ‘The Somaliland President trip Washington: The Most successful one" (sic!).

In his undocumented and far-fetched argumentation, sort of modern Somali version of the illustrious One Thousand and One Nights, Mr. Abdulazez Al-Motairi boasts as follows: "Defiantly, this will attract US investment in the country including aid supplies and Washington administration will not mind of such projects in the stable and democratic Somaliland. The Pentagon was another target for Somaliland delegation as high-ranking military officials exhibited interest in dealing with Somaliland during US Defense Secretary Robert Gates visit to U.S Forces in Djibouti. The president met with U.S. President Advisor for African Affairs during his visit".

Note ‘Defiantly’; if you find it difficult to believe that the unrepresentative thugs of the unrecognized no-man’s-land dared to be ‘defiant’ in Washington D.S., remember that Mr. Abdulazez Al-Motairi may be an expert in farcical writing or possibly a reincarnation of Goldoni, the epitome of the Commedia dell’ Arte in its most decadent phase.

Somalia's Unsolicited Mickey Mouse: Riyale, President of the Hargeysa Thugs

Quite unfortunately, Mr. Abdulazez Al-Motairi does not study … his own text; if he did, he would notice that, few paragraphs after the farcical narrative about the defiant, unrepresentative and unrecognized, Mickey Mouse who scared Pentagon, he comes back to reality only to state the following:

"In 2005, the president visited London and he made the historical speech at House of Commons. During his current visit, British Prime Minister Gordon Brown personally welcomed and he praised the Somaliland democracy and described it "The unique model of democracy in Africa", during Prime Minister’s Question Time at House of Commons. This was the second president’s visit to UK and to the building of the House of Commons.

MP Mr. Allan Michael, A friend of Somaliland, brought Somaliland issue in the discussions during Prime Minister’s Question Time. The Prime Minister Brown agreed the idea of Michael and entire house welcomed the answer of the Mr. Brown with "Yeah"…. Mr. Brown also offered his government support to Somaliland and promised to support Somaliland cause internationally.

Mr. Brown clearly highlighted his government’s eagerness to support Somaliland in many ways including financial aid and to encourage the democratic progress in Somaliland. The Somaliland delegation was received with red carpet and full Presidential Protocol Reception at Heathrow International Airport".

In brief, what was missing from the London Triumph of the imaginatively defiant, unrepresentative and unrecognized, Mr. Riyale was the date of the British formal recognition of Somaliland!

Yet, Mr. Abdulazez Al-Motairi fails to understand that, in the same way nothing happened after Riyale's ‘historical’ visit to London in 2005, nothing will occur after the 2008 charlatanesque promenade!

Many may wonder why Mr. Abdulazez Al-Motairi published a so misleading text that, contrarily to his other poorly edited and miserably articulated articles, seems to have been written by the non-diplomats of Hargeysa. The reason is simple: he wants to use it as cover up for the real events that have recently taken place in Hargeysa, the so-called capital of Riyale’s illegal territory.

Controversial Term Extension for Riyale

In fact, a few days ago, the so-called ‘president’ of Somaliland was awarded a controversial one-year term extension by the "house of Guurti", the illegal and unrepresentative ‘upper chamber’ of the undemocratic Somaliland 'parliament'.

According to reports, the ‘deputies’ met in Hargeysa, on Thursday 10 April 2008, to ‘debate’ and ‘ratify’ a ‘motion’ introduced by the local, illegitimate and unrepresentative government.

It was a parody of Freedom and a caricature of Democracy; they all new beforehand what would happen to those who would dare oppose the order about the one-year term extension. As a matter of fact, in clear reminiscence of the Leonid Brezhnev's era, 65 ‘deputies’ were present, and 61 of them voted to extend the term for Mr. Riyale and his farcical pseudo-government.

Loathed in his territory, Riyale would not get 25% of the vote…

As pseudo-president Riyale’s term in office was to officially expire next month, the Abyssinian puppet – ‘president’ was planning to extend his term, after declaring that presidential elections scheduled for May had been …. postponed.

The result of the elections would have been detrimental against him, particularly if international observers had been deployed. Estimates from Berbera and Hargeysa do not give Riyale the possibility to get more than 20 – 25% of the total vote under condition of transparent and fair procedures.

It would be worthy getting into details of this ‘parliamentary’ ‘vote’; according to Garoweonline (http://allafrica.com/stories/200804110047.html), the ‘parliament’ hall was under tight security, with armed police and soldiers standing guard in and around the building. This seems logical, if we take into account the despair of the Somalis who have been held captive in Somaliland due to the humiliating, anti-patriotic and anti-national, submissive and servile attitude of Riyale toward the Neo-Nazi Abyssinian dictator Meles Zenawi. But there is more!

Chaos in Somaliland - Explosions inside the Pseudo-parliament!

A day before the illegitimate ‘parliamentary’ vote, a bomb explosion destroyed an office inside the parliament; however, no one was hurt.

Said Jama Ali, the ‘deputy speaker’ of the ‘house of Guurti’, was ordered to tell the local media that the term extension decision was approved by the so-called ‘deputies’ of Somaliland, because "there must be a six-month period between presidential and local government elections". Somalis in the breakaway pseudo-state are truly fed up with this impossible situation, and the provocative lies of the vicious thug who impersonates 'their' – unsolicited – 'president'.

The pseudo-parliament ‘voted’ to hold local elections in October, thus giving Mr. Riyale an additional six months in office. After some months, another comical and illegitimate vote will certainly postpone Riyale's bogus-elections for whenever it may suit the clownish president and his unashamed thugs and gangsters who terrorize the local population.

One should not forget that in 2007, Riyale supported a motion, extending the term for his pseudo-parliament's 'deputies' by an additional four years; next time he may add another forty! At this point, one should be reminiscent of the fact that Riyale was ‘elected’ in an infamous episode of elections in 2003, when trees, donkeys, and stones participated in the voting procedure in support of the loathed Somali thug – the servant of the Abyssinian dictator.

Following the aforementioned indescribable procedures and unacceptable developments, the marginalized opposition parties Kulmiye and UCID issued a Joint Statement condemning the term extension as "illegal", and warned that Mr. Riyale "will not be recognized as President after May 15". This shows what one can expect to see in the otherwise shamefully extolled by Mr. Abdulazez Al-Motairi pseudo-state of Somaliland.

Note
Picture: Suffering, impoverished and tyrannized Somalis, engulfed in the illegal territory of Riyale's Somaliland, live only with the hope of getting rid of the shameful Somali high traitor Riyale one day. For them, as for all the other Somalis, the Somali political life evolves around Sheikh Sharif Sheikh Ahmed in the constellation of the Alliance for the Re-Liberation of Somalia.
