Solving Marital Problems

Suggestions to solve marital problems and ultimately prevent divorce.
First of all you have to recognize the power you have to solving marital problems. Whether you are a woman or a man, or if you take care of the children or responsible for paying the bills, if you find you always need your spouse more than they do- it simple doesn't make a difference. Once you realize this, things will become much easier. Don't compare. There's just one of you who can improve your relationship, you. Following are four suggestions to stop divorce.

If your relationship is going through difficult times, do whatever you can to not panic, since panicking may scare your partner, do not suffocate them with erratic behavior. Keep your cool and stay on top of irrational emotions. If the situation reaches a point in which your spouse leaves the house, do not beg and plead for him or her to come back. Avoid using your kids as a playing card; doing so can later have negative repercussions. Begging just proves that you're in a desperate situation, making you vulnerable. Do not subdue power, you may feel embarrassed if they don't agree to come back, making you feel worse.

When your spouse asks for space, grant them the space. Invest that time working on yourself to be a better person. Go out with family and close friends, doing so can refresh your perspective about things. Also, when your spouse is hostile against you, don't fall into provocation. Do your best to maintain a calm attitude even if it means faking it till you actually feel in control.
