*Soldier Boy*
One so loved, thought never to loose is now gone for good…
Always alone this rose will be
Just lying here under the tree
Forever waiting on this grave
Of the boy who was so brave
He was sent out to fight
When he met death cold bite
He is a boy I’d like to meet
Never able to taste loves treat
All his loved ones on a knee
Up to God they’ll always plea
To the war he was a slave
The bomb exploded much like a wave
He was fighting for what was right
When he walked towards the light
In a place not so neat
Playing a game you can never beat
During the war, praying was we
But secretly alone, wishing was me
We all did gather at the nave
And cry over what we had to engrave
Now he sleeps cold and white
In the darkness like forever night
Now he’s walking on the high street
Up above God will greet
Always alone this rose will be
Just lying here under the tree
Forever waiting on this grave
Of the boy who was so brave
Just lying here under the tree
Forever waiting on this grave
Of the boy who was so brave
He was sent out to fight
When he met death cold bite
He is a boy I’d like to meet
Never able to taste loves treat
All his loved ones on a knee
