So It Was You?

There is always someone special above who sees you through and through!
It was you who kept me going
Your unfailing love so strong
It was you that kept me moving
On life's journey long

When at night I lay my bed
And I climb on the sheets so cold
I lie there like a log so dead
Your arms around me did fold

When I slept I dreamed of Death
As I woke I cursed my Birth
Then I sank in deep despair
But your Love kept me afloat

It was you who kept me going
Your endless Love so deep
It was Love that kept me saying
Your promises you'll keep

When I walk in the winter's cold
And my toes and fingers freeze
Then I will call upon your name
And you send your warmly breeze

When my strength abandoned me
I laid hopeless on the ground
You had some kind pity on me
And brought me home safe and sound

It was you who kept me going
You're so far and yet so near
It was Love that kept me singing
Oh my! to me you are dear

When I was very sick and frail
When all hope of life was gone
You came swiftly, took away the veil
Suddenly, I was reborn

When I was lonely, and had no friend
When I thought my world will end
Then I turned and there you were
Oh how long have you been here?

It was you who kept me staying
I had nowhere to go
It was Love that kept me hoping
One day you, I will know

When my heart was broken pieces
And I had given up on Love
You touched my lips with warm kisses
The sweetest I could ever have

When I needed someone by my side
As I walked in the summers midnight
You sent the Moon to be my Guide
That glowing ball, my source of light

It was I who kept escaping
Whenever you drew my near
It was I who kept pretending
That I loved you so very dear

One of these days I will come and stay
I said this yesterday
The body is bold, the soul is cold
My life I must remold.
