So, if you have 14 lights on the string, then you will have to make 14 pairs of snowflakes, which comes down to 28 snowflakes.

Step 2: The size of each pairs of snowflakes will not be larger than 4 inches across. After all the cutouts are ready, apply colorful glitter on each. The glitter will add more shine and color once the lights are turned on. Get a spray on glitter as it is not only subtle but also effective. Let the glitter dry properly and then move on to the next step.

Step 3: On your working station, apply rubber cement on each side of the snowflakes. Apply just a thin layer and let it dry off. The surface where the rubber cement is applied will be used to stick them together or transferred for repositioning.

Step 4: Take the first pair of snowflakes and light on the string. Place the light right in the middle of the snowflake and press the pair together. Remember to align the pair properly, or else the outlook won't be pretty. If the pair is not sticking properly, then you didn't use enough rubber cement on it. Apply a bit more rubber cement to it.

Step 5: Follow step 4 with all the snowflakes and lights on the string. Once you are finished with the last light, let the glue dry completely. Plug the lights in and turn it on to make sure that all the lights are visible.
