Snake, Turtle & Bird

Forgive Me for What I Have Done
God made ye
I took ye
Heaven, I did not
Do it with glee
I am sorry for it
I would reclaim their life
If I could, hear ye

Snake,
In the grass
You were
Where else would you be?
When you met my
Lawn mower
It was a tragedy
To see

Turtle,
Making your slow
Journey across
The highway
Why?
Had you chosen
Another route
My truck would not have
Come your way

Bird,
There is no one to
Blame but me
The BB gun I put in my hand
The aim came from
My eye
The trigger I pulled
With my own finger
Had I thought
That my aim would
Be so right
I would not have
