Smokeless Cigarettes
Smokeless cigarettes are believed to be the answer to the smoking ban. With these cigarettes, one can smoke openly without breaking the law. Since these cigarettes do not emit smoke, they cause no harm to non-smokers around, and hence, can be used anywhere...
The second type is the 'smokeless e-cigarette', which does not involve the burning of tobacco. Instead, these 'cigarettes' use an electric charge to provide the smoking experience. They contain nicotine, but do not produce smoke, which is why they are allowed to be used in non-smoking zones. However, the chief complaint about this type is that it fails to provide the authentic feel traditional cigarettes give. The absence of smoke, large size, and different feel, makes it less appealing to many.
The third type, 'vapor-based mini electronic cigarettes' are similar to e-cigarettes, differing only in the smoke aspect. While 'smokeless e-cigarettes' do not produce smoke at all, 'vapor-based mini electronic cigarettes' produces harmless water vapor, thereby stimulating the traditional smoking experience. The water vapor gives this cigarette a more natural feel without the harmful smoke. A battery charger is used to charge this cigarette, which comprises a cartridge containing nicotine, propylene glycol, water and tobacco flavor. Cartridges with different nicotine levels and flavors (tobacco, apple, mint, orange, strawberry, caramel and coffee flavors) are availble. An LED is present at the tip, which lights up when in use. These 'cigarettes' have been designed to resemble traditional cigarettes, and are the best option for people who wish to preserve the smoking experience. Moreover, in certain areas, these cigarettes come cheaper than the regular cigarettes. Since these cigarettes do not involve the emission of smoke, they are allowed to be used in non-smoking zones.
Companies have come up with smokeless cigarettes to help smokers quit smoking. Herbal smokeless cigarettes are also available, which lack tobacco and nicotine, and contain herbal medicine, thereby satisfying the tactile taste sensations without dependence on nicotine. The natural herbal aroma scent travels through the trachea and lungs and removes the nicotine accumulation in the smoker's body by dispelling the smoking odor. It is believed that these herbal smokeless cigarettes can help beat addiction and help smokers stop smoking altogether. Most smokeless cigarettes may provide nicotine to give a fix, however, they lack the tar and chemicals present in regular traditional cigarettes.
Smokeless cigarettes give off no smoke or ash, and thus cause little or no stains on the fingers, although nicotine containing cigarettes cause teeth discoloration. No smoky smell lingers on the hair and clothing with this type of cigarettes. Since there is no second-hand smoke, this benefits non-smokers as well. Also, the fear of the smoking ban being violated is greatly reduced. Smokeless cigarettes are believed to be free from the 400+ cancer-causing substances found in traditional cigarettes, thus eliminating the dangerous substances that cause cancer.
People today are tech savvy and companies are trying their best to come up with innovative gadgets. With the electronic toothbrush, massager, razor, etc coming into the market, electronic cigarettes are also making their mark. The controversy regarding the pros and cons of smokeless cigarettes are still on. These smokeless cigarettes are suitable to quench the urge of smoking in public non-smoking zones.
