Smell The Rain
When love no longer longs to live.
Sitting beside you on the couch,
I look deep into your eyes,
And I see a dark despair,
Your face no longer shines,
You've been so far away,
In the vastness of your mind,
And your wander lust is back,
It's time to say goodbye.
I'll miss your loving arms,
And your deep blue, shining eyes,
But the warmth of your sweet lips,
No longer comforts mine,
Your smiling, happy party tricks,
No longer entertain,
And it's time to face the facts,
Wake up and smell the rain.
A ghostly spectra stands before,
He wears a skeletal glove,
In which he holds the sands of time,
As it runs out on our love,
And the saintly spirit by your side,
Has taken away your halo,
Our love's no longer sanctified,
But you will always be my angel.
I can still hold the love we shared,
With a spoonful of memories,
And with a little piece of miracle,
Maybe you'll come back to me,
I will still try to hold a smile,
While my emotions rest a while,
But it's hard to hide my tears,
As they flow from dark skinned eyes.
I wander around the memories left,
Like flowers past their bloom,
I see a lonely figure standing,
And I realize she is you,
But I can't compromise your loss,
All my attempts have been in vain,
Time's sands have finally run out,
It's time to smell the rain.
I look deep into your eyes,
And I see a dark despair,
Your face no longer shines,
You've been so far away,
In the vastness of your mind,
And your wander lust is back,
