The week before........

Nikki POV

I was clicking up and down on my phone; reviewing all the text messages from Austin.

AUSTIN: Can you come over and uh make me dinner?

AUSTIN:Can you come iron my pants?

AUSTIN: Umm; can you just come over for a sec?

As I read through all of these on my couch, I couldn't help but wonder how pointless all this was. Things he could do himself; he was putting on me. It didn't make sense to me at all. Was he just trying to make me miserable? Or was it something else?

I shook my head, hoping to erase any unnecessary thoughts.I got up and walked out the door; heading toward the set of, Country Love. Hopefully I wouldn't run into anybody; cast or crew.I walked slowly onto the outdoor set, looking around to make sure no one was near. All clear, I thought to myself. But my moment of relief was interrupted when I bumped into someone with a pair of mesmerizing blue eyes. I was so lost into the crystal blue sea I saw in those eyes that I didn't even bother to notice that I was looking at Austin.

After about a minute, I quickly looked down; finally realizing who I was looking at. When I looked up though I was surprised to see that Austin wasn't smiling like he usually was.I don't know why, but I had an urge to wrap my arms around him and ask what's wrong. It seemed weird to me, I mean I hated the guy. Well at least I think I did. Suddenly, Austin reached down and lifted my chin with his hand. He leaned down; his lips almost but not touching mine. I felt a surge of electricity charge through me. I couldn't help but smile. When I did that, Austin smiled too.

"Hey, so you're late." Austin said playfully as he pulled away. " There's a few things on a list in my trailer. Feel free to walk in." Something about the way he said it made me suspicious. But before I could address my suspicious, Austin walked off to rehearsal.

As confusing and kind of sexy as that was, my mind chose to believe that it never happened. And I think I'd like it much better in that way. Still thinking, I began walking towards the trailers. It wasn't hard to find Austin's. There was a huge bodyguard, who by the way was pulling a tween girl who was clawing at Austin's door. I slowly walked up, hoping the girl wouldn't turn around and make me a target.

"Just let me go in!!" The girl said between her screams of frustration. The bodyguard was now pulling her by her legs while she was still holding on to the door.

"Why don't you let go before I get the cops on your crazy ass!" I laughed, making him turn.

"Oh no. Please don't tell me you're here to see Austin too? Come on, a guy can only take so much!"

"Uh no. I'm supposed to be here." I quickly opened up my sweater, revealing my necklace with the ADMIT card. The bouncer looked at my name on the card and smiled.

"Oh you're Nikki Johnson? Then this must be for you!" The bodyguard; who had the recently detached girl under his arm; reached under the porch of the trailer and handed me a HUGE teddy bear. I gaped at him and looked around making sure he was talking to me. The bodyguard looked at me, noticing the shock in my face. The girl reached up and started muttering something to him when she too realized the look on my face. All I heard out of him was chuckle. They were obviously making fun of me.

The bodyguard handed the teddy to me and started walking off; chattering happily to the little girl. I just stood there with this incredibly cute and cuddly bear in my arms. I didn't want to look like an idiot standing there so I quietly rushed into Austin's trailer.

The teddy bear had nothing on it that would reveal who gave it to me. All it had was "Lovely" on the tag. My eyes grew big as I realized that only one person called me that. Austin. I bit my lip; so hard I almost ripped through the skin. I loved the bear and that scared me. Austin was someone that I disliked right? But it was getting harder and harder not to give in. I mean he's nice (when he wants to be) but his ego and his annoying sense that he can have every girl he wants just makes me angry! It hits close to home when Austin acts like this because I've been hurt by so many times by guys just like that and don't want it to happen again! As I thought about this I finally made up my mind on a solution. No matter how much I was falling for him on the inside; I was going to dislike Austin Angels no matter what.
