I woke up to Jay-Z's song blasting from the living room. I rubbed my eyes and slowly made my way out of the soft, big white comforter that was wrapped around my body.
I glanced at the empty space where Austin should have been but he wasn't there. Finding him made me want to hurry up.
I grabbed the robe that was placed on the armchair next to the bed and put it on. I didn't know what exactly was going on but it's a new day! I knew my happiness was caused by the most amazing experience of my life. Sex with Austin Angels. I smiled at the memory of last night and I twirled down the curving stairs.
"Yeah,
Yeah, Imma up at Brooklyn,
now I'm down in Tribeca,
right next to DeNiro,
But I'll be hood forever,
I'm the new Sinatra,
and since I made it here,
I can make it anywhere,
yeah they love me everywhere,"
The song continued as I approached the speakers in Nick's futuristic looking living room. My eardrums rattled and I ran to lower the volume. As I did that, I realized that there was a balloon tied to the dial with a note.
I stared at suspiciously and grabbed the note.
Nikki-
I bet you're probably wondering where I am right. Well not to worry my love, you'll see me later! But for now why don't you go find all the little surprises I have around for you. I know it's cheesy and I also know you hate surprises but trust me. It's worth it. So enjoy yourself for now and meet me at the Riverside Plaza Central. The movie awards are being held there and you're my date :)

I smiled a wide, toothy smile. I hated surprises but for him I was willing to make an exception. I read the note over again and as if Austin was psychic, Analia came barging through the front door.
"Hello, future Mrs. Austin Angels!" I laughed and collapsed on Nick's white couch. Analia sat beside and stared as if waiting for something.
"What?" I asked staring at her. She rolled her eyes.
"How was it? Tell me everything! You know...how does he look naked?" I giggle-gasped and smacked her arm.
"Last time I checked you already had a boyfriend!" I said laughing.
"Yeah but Carter's like a puppy. He's not trained yet. Austin, on the other hand, is one mannered pooch."
She managed to keep a straight face but once we caught each other's eyes we cracked up. She stopped long enough to sniff the air.
"Is that a...New York chilly cheese steak sub?" I shrugged and sniffed the air too. Analia got up and made her way to the kitchen and picked up the sandwich. She took a big bite and smiled.
"Yup it is and look someone left the entire series of 'I Love New York' right here!" As she happily chewed and read the back of the DVD case, something clicked in my head. First the song that was clearly about New York.
Then the chilly cheese steak, that obviously came from Brooklyn. And now the DVD of Tiffany "New York" Pollard's show on VH1. Something was up.
Later...
"So should I wear this black one or the purple zebra?" I asked Analia as I modeled them for her. She was so busy texting on the bed and blowing bubbles that she didn't hear me. Before I could yell at her, there was a knock on the guest bedroom door.
I glanced at Analia who seemed busy so I opened the door. There was petite, gray haired woman holding a silver tray with a dome top on it. Once she saw them there, she shoved the tray into my hand and hurried off.
I stuck my tongue at her back as she walked off and I lifted the dome. There was a web address on it. Other than that, the only thing the note said was: TYPE IT IN.
I shoved Analia as I settled on the bed next to her and pulled out my iPhone. I typed in the address and soon a video on YouTube pulled up. I waited for the video to buffer and soon I was looking at Austin's handsome, chiseled face.
"Hey babe, did you get my gifts? Well I hope so." He said, while Analia scooted closer so she could see.
"Anyway I hope you're ready because I'm picking you up in an hour. I really hope you'll like my surprise and I'm sure you'll like sexy tonight like you always do - " Austin was interrupted by two fingers that we're behind his head like bunny ears.
"Carter, seriously! I bet Analia's watching this and I'm sure you don't want her to know you cried when we watched 'The Notebook' at Taylor Swift's house!"
Carter gasped and immediately stepped away from where Austin was filming. I fought the smile that twitched at my mouth and turned the video off to keep me from missing him.
I quickly got up and grabbed a red strapless dress that reached just above my knees. Kristen had given me the dress as a symbol that she had changed. I'd never thought I would wear it. Until now, that is.
I stepped into the guest bathroom to change. After some tugging and zips the curve hugging dress was on me. I applied makeup and made sure to make it look like it was natural. I grabbed my cropped leather jacket and put it on.
I finally let out some cleansing breaths and looked at myself in the mirror. I let my mind flashback to all the memories of my childhood in Cape Cod. But my brain only wanted to go to the memories with Austin. The day I first met him, the week I was his assistant, our first kiss -
Before I could get any further into my memories I started to feel nauseous and light headed. I felt like I was about to faint for a second but soon it all had passed. I felt good until that chilly cheese steak started charging up my throat. I ran to the toilet seat and barfed my guts out.
After a minute the toilet self flushed and sprinted cold water onto my face. Wow, Nick was really rich if his toilet's new when someone was sick.
"What happened!?" Analia asked she ran into the bathroom and knelt down next to me. I stared at her black eyes for a minute.
"Nothing, but can you do me a favor?" She nodded yes with panic filled eyes.
"Go get me a pregnancy test, please."
Austin's POV
"Is it all set up?" I asked Frank, the tech geek who was in charge of all the technical stuff for the awards.
"Yes, Mr. Angels." I flashed him my movie star smile and checked the clock on my phone. It was 7:45 which meant I should be on my way to pick up Nikki. I nodded a thank you to Frank and hurried out of the back stage area.
When I reached the parking lot, Liam was waiting for me. He was leaning on Nick's silver Bentley dangling the keys on his finger.
"Hey, thanks for letting me borrow Nick's car. I hope Nick doesn't mind." I said as Liam placed the keys in my palm. He shook his head.
"Nah he doesn't mind. In fact he insisted." Liam laughed and I smiled. I waved to him as I started up the car and backed out of the lot. I drove steadily singing to a song I didn't even know the lyrics to.
As I approached Nick's street my heart started to beat excitedly. Absolutely nothing could ruin this day for Nikki and I. Nothing.
I parked the car in Nick's mansion's circular drive way and basically ran to the front door. Before I could knock or let myself in, Nikki met me there. Her curve hugging dress made me want to whistle but I resisted the urge when I noticed her pale face.
"What's wrong?" I asked her. Analia was right behind her in her Awards dress.
"Nothing, let's go have fun!" She yelled and pushed her way past me to the car. When I looked at Analia for an explanation she just shrugged and followed Nikki. When I reached the car, both girls were already in with their seat belts buckled. I was confused but like I said: Nothing was going to ruin today...

MTV MOVIE AWARDS
After switching from the Bentley to a hummer limo at a gas station and picking up Carter, we had finally pulled up to the red carpet entrance. Nikki smiled warmly at me like nothing was wrong. But I knew something was up. But before I could ask the limo door was thrust open and a flash of paparazzi lights lit up the dark.
I wrapped my arm around Nikki's waist and we both made our way outside. Analia and Carter were right behind us. Crazed fans were yelling my name and some even yelled Nikki's too. The fake smile she had been wearing was now real and she happily posed for pictures with me.
Finally we were inside and of course we were late. The show had already started but I didn't care. I slowly walked Nikki to her seat and then I turned and left. I waited backstage until finally my big moment came.
"And now please welcome Austin Angels!" Ashton Kutcher, the host, announced. The entire stadium erupted into cheers and confidently made my way onstage. Ashton handed me a microphone and I turned and caught Nikki's eye. She smiled but I could there was something that was scaring her. I shook it off and refocused.
"Well celebs it's story time!" Everyone laughed and I continued happily. "3 months ago I finished filming Country Love in Cape Cod, Arkansas. I didn't really think much about making the movie there but trust me I was WRONG. There I met the person that I could possibly spend the rest of my life with. Yeah it's sappy but it's real. And she wasn't easy to get to know either. She hated my guts. And that made me want her even more. I know I've made her angry and she even ran away from me. But from now on I want her to be with me. And once she's with me, I want her to be my wife. But don't worry not till we're ready."
I winked at Nikki and she had her head turned to the side like she didn't know where this was going. I rolled my eyes lovingly.
"Nikki, I want you to move to New York with me." Everyone quieted waiting for Nikki's answer. I stared into her green eyes and they sparkled.
"Well of course I'll move with you! I love you stupid!" The stadium cheered and tears of joy rolled down Nikki's cheek. Or was it tears of sadness?
I tried to catch her eyes again but she grabbed her stomach, then clapped a hand over her mouth, and then ran towards the exit.
I stood there, on stage, shocked. Hopefully, things will turn out better. Because we were about to start our lives. In the city.
